Hmm that is interesting. Though now it seems it has flooded that forum with a lot of Universe stuff. Would it be possible to have it in a sub-forum in the forum like what star wars has with Watto's Junkyard? It would still be seen there because it is in a topic that is more read than Universe. I dont know just a thought. :classic:

That's interesting to know, I wonder if its not doing as well as LEGO would have hoped our if EB's usage doesn't represent their main market.

Probably a little bit of both.

Not very surprising. Having a forum with only 2-3 posts a month was a bit depressing anyway.

I thought I got lost or something when I entered the C&MM subforum and the glaring yellow citrus Lego Universe skin came out. But I believe this is a logical and valid move conisdering the low activity in the then LU subforum. Just a question though, will the LU skin be the main skin for the C&MM subforum from now on?

For now I've given C&MM back the default skin until we can maybe tweak the universe skin to get rid of the universe logo and instead have the EB log.

I agree with this.

Or have a pinned 'LEGO UNIVERSE megathread'

Perhaps everyone is too busy playing to post. I know I am.

I'd been meaning to post more in the LU forum myself; I hadn't yet because I so far I haven't been able to do more than dip my toes into LU, so to speak - I can't actually run it on my own 8-year-old computer. I bought it with the intention of playing it on my girlfriend's computer whenever I could until I finally get a new computer of my own, but it turns out her comp's optical drive can't read the game disc, for some reason. I definitely intend to get back into the game as soon as circumstances permit, though!

That said, I know my experience isn't typical. I'm really surprised there isn't more discussion around here of LEGO Universe; I'd have thought surely there'd be more Eurobrickers posting about it than there have been...

In my opinion, the ideal option would have been not to get rid of the LEGO Universe subforum, but to instead make it into a broader "LEGO Media" subforum that covers things like the LEGO website, LEGO electronic games, LEGO movies, and perhaps even the magazines. I don't think it makes much sense that the "culture and multimedia" section that you'd expect to hold non-LEGO content instead gets so much overflow from actual LEGO-related discussions.

No idea how well that would work out, but I think it would be a pretty good strategy to liven up discussion of LEGO media, and at the same time help add some more organization to current discussions of movies and video games.

I fully concur, I would welcome such a subforum. Much of this is presently posted in General Discussion.

I agree with you and Fugazi. I think this would be the way to go.
