December 11, 201014 yr Brilliant, I love it . The glass pieces make it look like an airport and makes it look really nice . But the Baggage conveyor doesn't look very safe for the luggage . Thanks, CB
December 11, 201014 yr This is a wonderful ariport thati can see you made sure to put as many details as possible to a real airport.Your airport needs just one thing more...more waiting seats!
December 11, 201014 yr Now that's what I call a Airport, It's so big and spaced out like a real airport. Seriously great work Cavey. Edited December 11, 201014 yr by The Red Brick
December 11, 201014 yr I love the SNOTY glass roof that is fantastic The gift shop and the conveyer belt are great too
December 11, 201014 yr Looks great !!! One question - what about the airstrip? You will need a lot of green road plates for this one. That's one thing which I do not like about lego latest airport design - they stopped adding green landing plates. regards Maciej
December 11, 201014 yr Author Thanks all for your comments. I would like to add in more seats, but somehow space is still an issue, already quite cramp is my feel. MACIEK8791, yup its sad we dont get any runway plates with new airports and actually I was planning to use road plates instead of the green runway plates but on 2nd thoughts looking at the runway plates, it does look better.Hmmm guess i will have to look out for some. Thanks again.
December 11, 201014 yr Now that is cool. I love the wall of windows at the sitting area. I've been to a few airports in my day, adn this looks awesome. I think my favorite part is the luggage rack thing. I can't think of the word. Awesome regardless.
December 11, 201014 yr Great MOC! The size and scale of it is very impressive. Very well done. ~buddy~
December 11, 201014 yr Great Airport! I think this is one of the best modern airports I've seen in a long time. This picture really seals the deal for me. Awesome job
December 11, 201014 yr Very nice airport 'Cavey', the shop and cafe I do like....a sweet nod to classic town. The baggage conveyor....mmm, might I suggest taking on the design in the 2006 airport which actually rotates. Apart from that, overall an excellent job designing and building it.....good one 'Cavey' and I'm a conformist! !
December 12, 201014 yr Wow, I'm totally impressed with this WIP Airport MOC, this is what a Lego airport should be. I really like the interior details you've put inside as well as the glass-paned walls in the overall build. I just love this very realistic interior shot: Just outstanding work overall Cavey, can't wait to see how you'll finish this already amazing build. 2nd floor: B: Viewing Gallery B Shot 1
December 12, 201014 yr That Airport looks great! I do agree, it needs some of the classic runway base plates. The glass windows look great! How many different airlines do you have operating out of it right now? I think the next step might be a Cargo Terminal
December 13, 201014 yr Fantastic build. As others have mentioned, the liberal use of glass really gives it that modern airport feel.
December 13, 201014 yr This is an excellent airport! It reminds me of the Colorado Springs airport. The viewing gallery is brilliant--the way you've taken the pictures makes it look like the real thing. Great work.
December 13, 201014 yr Hey Cavey, this is a very complete LEGO city airport. It is nice that you started from the original LEGO airport and made this larger version! Good job!
December 14, 201014 yr Author Thank you all for your kind words and ideas. @sens1992, Actually for me i dont like sets which are not finished, e.g buildings with a back opening or in the airport's case, only the front entrance and counter, with the minifigs walking into nothingness. So decided to give a go at MOCing and this was what it became... @KyleJohnson11, The cargo terminal is a great idea I never thought off! Thanks! will think off something to start off. @lightningtiger, i wanted to use the 2006 airport conveyor belt but was due space issues. It would only leave a walk space of 2 studs which is too squeezy. Definitely will showcase more when i get the runway plates (or maybe road plates in the end due to the high prices of runway plates) and with photos of a more populated airport. December 15, 201014 yr I really love this MOC! It is so incredible I noticed that even the Space Shuttle has come for a visit. I think all of the little details on the interior really help this creation stand out. If I ever decide to build an airport for my LEGO City, this will certainly be a source of inspiration to me.
January 12, 201114 yr Great City Airport ever consider adding moving jetways for unloading and loading of passengers.
January 12, 201114 yr Very nice airport Great job on MOCing it to an adequate size for the new style of jets and the awesome interior detail. This is how I wished all of TLGs airports were in size. ENORMOUS!
July 10, 201113 yr This is absolutely FANTASTIC! I've been searching the web for an airport moc and this is the best ive found so far!!! For your first moc this is amazing! Can you please tell me where you got all the pieces?? But i must say that: a) It needs a baggage check in and b) The baggage conveyor belt needs a bit of work. Thats all! The glass really makes it brilliant. sjono10 Can I also ask how you mannaged to access the bottom floor without destroying your airport?? Thanks
July 10, 201113 yr Excellent MOC. I really like this view: 2nd floor: A: Viewing Gallery A Shot 2 It makes it feel REAL when you can see the plane looking through the glass. Keep adding man!!!
