Oohhh.. a tunnel.

I would like to rip up a wooden plank from the floor and use it as a club and go into the tunnel.

Captain Harding takes a wooden plank and uses it as a club.

I meant look for a trapdoor AND look inside the boxes...

The boxes are empty regardless.

I'd like to follow him in, broom held at the ready

Stevie climbs into the tunnel.

I would like to check if there is a light source in the tunnel. If not I would ask if any of the police have a flashlight and if they might go first. If that fails then look for lightswitches or pull strings. Then, I'll follow the others into the tunnel.

James feels around for a light source, and he finds a switch. He switches the lights on, and the lights continue in a straight direction for about a mile down. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

I'd like to enter the tunnel, flashlight and pistol out and at the ready.

Uh, better let us policemen go first, folks. You never know where there could be danger, and it's our job to protect you. Unless someone really wants to go ahead of us...

Chief Phelps heads into the tunnel next.

I'm more than willing to let the policemen go first. I'll enter the tunnel after they go in.

Once in, I'd like a description of the tunnel.

Do all of the circled locations on the map found at the Lighthouse roughly line up? (Lighthouse, Town Hall, Department Store and Farm, IIRC)

I'm wondering if the circled locations on the map all have entrances into this tunnel.

After the policemen enter, Mayor Bradford enters. The tunnel is dirt, with a few metal sheet planks on the ground evenly spaced. The tunnel appears to be blocked off behind you, meaning you can only go one way, South, towards the port. The north entrance is blocked by various rocks and other items. The Town Hall and the Farm line up, but the Department Store and the Lighthouse aren't in the line, and are on the other side of town.

I would like to attack a rock or piece of broken glass to my plank/stick I pulled from the floor.

Captain Harding puts a rock onto the plank.

I would like to know what the tunnel is lined with. (Dirt, cement, wood, ect.)

The tunnel is lined with dirt.

I would like to grab the rock I threw at the window to take into the tunnel

Gloria heads into the tunnel with the rock.

Is there any light in the tunnel? Can we see roughly which direction the tunnel leads in?

There is no light in the tunnel other than the lights overhead. You can see the tunnel heads South, and North, but the North entrance is blocked off and inaccessible.

Okay, I reckon a few of us should wait behind. In the case of a collapse (God forbid) we need some people to be able to get help or attempt to clear the rubble. Any volunteers? I want to go in the tunnel myself.

I'd like to offer that my dog go with the Tunnel group. He's a trained guard dog, he can help the police.

I'd like to stay where we are.

I would like to examine the rocks blocking the tunnel to the north. Does it look like a natural collapse or were the rocks pushed there somehow? What other items can be seen among the rocks?

How wide is the tunnel (wide enough for one person, two people standing shoulder to shoulder, or even wider?

Does it look like the North end of the tunnel collapsed, or is it just unfinished, like no one bothered digging anymore?

I'd like to follow the tunnel south as long as everyone in front of me is moving. I'll examine the walls for any irregularities as we go.

Ralph helps lower King into the tunnel. He then remains in the store.

I'll wait outside, no need to crowd us all in.

Dolores waits outside.

Farmer Simmons looks at the rocks. It is made to look like a natural collapse, but it isn't. Mixed with the rocks are a few pieces of metal.

The tunnel is wide enough for six people shoulder to shoulder.

I would like to get out of the tunnel and watch over the people who are staying outside.

Officer Harrison waits outside of the tunnel.

I would like to go into the tunnel and join the group down there

Dr.Lloyd heads down into the tunnel.

I too would like to enter the tunnel; I'm feeling adventurous.

Adventurous Patrick heads into the tunnel.

I would like to enter the tunnel. I would also llike to look for footprints and the number of footprints to tell how busy the tunnel got.

I would also like to nock on the metal sheets to see if they are blocking something or are just support.

How recently was the cave-in?

Shall we head South, then?

There wasn't one.

I'd like to pull a piece of the metal out of the wall, if I can do it safely. If I succeed, I'd like to examine it (size, shape, type, etc).

Mayor Bradford tries to pull a piece of metal out of the wall, but he's not able too. It appears to be fused in.

They're support, as behind them is hollow.

I'd like to hit the broom against the tunnel to see how sturdy it is, then look around for a mine cart

Stevie taps the broom against the tunnel wall. It's very sturdy, as though it's been reinforced. There is also no mine cart.

How recent does it look. ( I am assuming you mean it's man made ).

Hmm... this rock wall must be hiding something. Let's see if there is a way to move it. Can someone throw some light over here?

I would like to tap on the different metal pieces, looking for one that would move in any way. If that fails, I would like to tap on the rocks forming the wall, looking for an opening mechanism.

I'd like to see if anyone had any explosives we can blow the wall with

Hmm... I have an idea!

I would like with the help of others, to take a car engine out of the car and place it next to the rock wall and throw a match down there. (While no one is down there of course!)

I think explosives are more likely to cause an actual cave-in than bust through the wall. And captain, I don't think car engines explode. Besides do you know how heavy those things are? Let's try to think before you end up killin' someone by accident.

hmmm, A tunnnel you guys say, I turn around to fix my make-up and you boys are getting yourselves into trouble, well, I want some fun too

I'd like to go into the tunnel, and start walking south always staying within the light, also I'd like my dog to come with me, and as I walk through the tunnel, I'd like to look for any significant changes in the tunnel, such as crates or footprints or discrepancies with what we've already seen
