Hey guys this is my first posting of a freebuild. I know it isn't very good, but I wanted to get the hang of posting and whatnot. Cunstructive criticism would be great, but try not to be to hard on me.

"On the sulfur enriched sands of Luam, a young Padawan receives tips on suspect apprehension from local law enforcement."

Thanks!

I think its quite good. I couldn't make any SW moc!

By the way, I think you should upload your pics to a brickshelf or flickr account before posting them here. :classic:

It's...

The colonization* of Tatooine** is taking place when a colonist is attacked by a drunk*** pirate**** and the space police***** comes to break them up except their makeshift officer is moving really slowly******.

Nice. And the post looks fine.

Explanations:

*tri-cornered hat

**moisture vaporator

***Rum barrel

****pirate's hat

*****insignia on speeder

******actually, his legs aren't even moving.

Other than the possibly inappropriate position while wearing a pirate hat, it's not bad. I've also never seen a baseplate with that one curved corner before.

For your first MOC, good job ! Here is what it needs, it's not a good idea to show to much baseplate, it can make a MOC bland and flat. Putting simple bricks, and plates on, will give you a better sand look. I think we feel the action here which is important in a MOC like this. Hope I haven't offended you with my comments, at this point it has a lot of potential though! Good job!

Looks nice, but if not for the Tatooine moisture evaporator and the lightsaber, it doesn't look too Star Warsy enough.

Regarding posting, I believe it is more preferable here in EB to deeplink the photos rather than attaching them in your post. This topic might help you --> How to Deeplink and Post Images.

My thoughts exactly. I think if you made more of a terrain, and made the figs included more star warsy, then it would be alot better.

Nice start though. :sweet:

Although very simple, you have a story and you have everyhting positioned to get that across. I think a lower angle picture would help you greatly. It just seems a bit bare from overhead. One shot from behing the padawan showing what he sees and one facing the padawan would help yout MOC be shown better in my option.

Great first MOC, keep it up!

Now that you mention it, I've never seen a baseplate with that one curved corner before either.

O.K. I revised it a little. How does this look?

I know I should imbed the picture using something else but I havn't taken the time to make a brickshelf account.

Looks better now. I'll be honest, it's not the greatest, but it's definitely SW now.

You should really take the time to create an account on Brickshelf. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes, and there is an upload limit for EB so you will eventually be unable to continue attaching images.

Very nice! What a huge improvement!

That is a big improvement, and it's good to see that you heeded the advice of the excellent MOCers here. It looks like maybe you are fighting a lack of pieces in your collection, but that speeder has some nice details despite that. I like it much better now.

I am glad you noticed that I have a hard time finding certain pieces. This is mainly due to the fact that I don't take sets apart after I build them.

This looks nice for someone without a lot of parts at hand. The second version is very much improved.

Great job
