robuko Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 For classic figs, my favorite has to be the Ice Planet 2002 female. Only female fig in any Space theme to date AFAIK. There was the insectoid queen There are so many excellent figures now, we are really in a golden age now. I have to go with the classic spaceman. Quote
drdavewatford Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 For me it must be this guy.... So yummy and shiny ! I do love the Classic Spaceman and new Boba Fett, however. Dr. D. Quote
Enpaz Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 greatest and most beautiful face Are you kidding us? I mean, I totally respect your opinion on this but seriously that's one fig I really don't understand to be a favourite of anyone. That face is awkward if you ask me. THOSE EYES ARE CREEPING ME OUT! It's interesting just how much opinions sometimes differ. No offense in any way! Quote
Sirius Black Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 (edited) Not that he's out yet, but Mr Sparrow from PoTC looks pretty sharp, so I'm going with him. Gotta love those dreadlocks . Close seconds are Batman, Vader (probably one of the best SW figs ever made, especially the Chrome one), and Harry Potter. Edited December 17, 2010 by Sirius Black Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 So many choices. I'm a Star Wars collector, so my choice almost had to be a SW fig. But which one. Cloud City Boba? I don't own him. Darth Vader? good choice, but no. RotJ Luke? Nah. In the end I went with the minifig that I have the most of. The humble Phase I Clone Trooper. Good details on his helmet, fornt and back printing, a CW face that mercifully is covered up 90% of the time. But so accessible via the Battle Packs that I now own dozens of them. My Republic army would be nothing without my Phase I Troopers. Quote
Enpaz Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 The humble Phase I Clone Trooper. I agree that this one's pretty neat! I actually like the old Epi II one better, though. What do you think about those, the older ones I mean? They are quite cool, aren't they? More plastic with the eye slit and such. Quote

More plastic with the eye slit and such. *snip* The Phase II clones were OK in their own right, but the printing on them was far more varied. Phase I's have been in more sets, and the Battle Pack contained more Generic Phase I Troopers than the Battle Pack with the Phase IIs. The other issue with the Phase II BP was that I wanted the companion BP more: I enjoyed that Battle Droid BP much more than the Assassin Bike BP, so I found myself keeping even numbers of Phase II and Battle Droid BPs, while I had only one Assassin Droid and (ahem) numerous Clone Walkers. Hope that made sense. Quote
Mr Meleca Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 greedo!!!!!!!!! and the new boba, it´s really cool...... Quote

Zzz Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I love new Stormtroopers, Scout Troopers, new Rebel Pilots, Yavin-, Hoth-Endor-Rebels, the Spartan and the Popstar and lots more. But the best one is still the one to come. Quote
Enpaz Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Scout Troopers Agreed, they're pretty cute. Quote
YG-49 Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I change my opinion everytime I see a great fig in a new theme, but currently it would be the Anubis guard, or Amset-Ra. Quote
user Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I'd say the arm and leg printed Boba Fett. Can't beat that kind of detail IMO. I concur, Although sadly I never got boba with the cloud city print this figure always appealed to me the most because of the huge amount of detail. It's 10 times better than the new one in my opinion. Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted December 18, 2010 Author Posted December 18, 2010 (edited) I concur, Although sadly I never got boba with the cloud city print this figure always appealed to me the most because of the huge amount of detail. It's 10 times better than the new one in my opinion. The other night I was comparing the Cloud City to the new Fett... and then tried something a little different. Basically I put the new jetpack, cloak, head and helmet on the old Cloud City body-- and it looked pretty great. The two things about the new one that make me scratch my head are a.)why didn't they do the arm prints after investing so much into the figure already, obviously and b.)why the sand blue arms and legs? It just doesn't look right. At any rate, I concluded that swapping the Cloud City arms onto the new torso, and using the Cloud City leg chassis altogether would pretty much give you a perfect Boba Fett fig. But I can't bring myself to break either down. Edited December 18, 2010 by Mr. Elijah Timms Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Difficult question. I think I don't even know all the minifigs ever produced. However, I think I agree with Sirius Black that the new Jack Sparrow (even though he isn't out yet) has a very detailed torso and a very realistic 'hairpeace'. But if it's really the best ever..I don't know. There are just too many great minifigs Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Indiana Jones for me, hes a figure I always wanted as a kid and then they finally made him; did a great job too! Quote
SilentMode Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Another vote for the classic spaceman. I've never actually owned one, but it's very iconic of Lego's roots. Quote
RoryoCox Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Certainly for me the best minifigure has to be the new Boba Fett. It is really versatile, the colours are just right and the shape of the helmet is brilliant. The best minifigure I have ever got- Quote
lt.Gonville brickhead Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) I think the gold soldier from the atlantis temple or jango fett are the best. Edited December 21, 2010 by lt.Gonville brickhead Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I thought about it a little longer and I think the skeleton minifig is a very good one as well. It can be used in many different themes and the legs can also be used for table-legs and more. Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 It does but there seems to be a misunterstanding. I meant Episode II clones! The ones that came with the original Republic Gunship. No BP for them unfortunately. :( Ah, I see. The Ep II clones that came with the first RGS and AT-TE were pretty good (I own four of them), but I like the look of the printed helmet a bit better than the open helmet. It allows you to put a head with a face under there, even if it is a somewhat ugly CW face. (I've gotten used to the CW faces, but at first found them hideous.) Quote

Ravenclaw2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I like the Elsa minifigure from the Venice Canal Chase. She has great hair a nice face and a great torso. The Princess from Kingdoms and the Chewbacca figs are good, too. Quote
