It's funny how we all see different potential in each series! I count the very good ones and the ok ones and have to say, that Season 2 was by far the best for me, with 7 very good ones. S5 will have about 5 very good ones - and I am happy for that. Will probably get 13 different and some multiples.

I like it, but it's missing the "zing" of series 4. However series 4 is my favorite one yet, so it's hard to live up to it.

Youd be saying different if the figs from series 4 were series 5 and series 5 figs were series 4. Ultimately people find different series to be better than others, so that sir, was just your opinion. I find series 5 to be the best. But I respect your opinion... there are some very shmexy figs in series 4.

I hope you'll pardon me if I note there aren't actually any monkeys in the line-up yet. But yeah, I'm delighted to see what appears to be a chimp in Series 5. I'm definitely getting multiples of the zookeeper / animal trainer just for that. I also hope the gorilla mask gets reused somewhere down the line for an actual gorilla minifigure (as opposed to a guy in a gorilla suit).

I certainly don't want there to be a Gorrilla minifig! I like completely new minifigures, and a Gorrilla would just be the Gorrilla Suit Guy but with a different head underneath and no zip on his back.

Yes, that's the one I was referring to - the zookeeper with a chimp. I guess the lack of tail should have been a give away.

Well, it could also have short legs and long arms (Toy Story ones), to make more gorilla-ish appearance. But admittedly it would still be more repetitive than any skater ever was. If we are to hope for an actual gorilla like that, I think we have to put our money on some completely new Zoo or Safari theme instead of any upcoming CMF series. :classic:

I do wanna see the toy story lanky body parts show up again... maybe they can redo the basketball line and make a yao ming

Yeah, by "down the line" I didn't necessarily mean in this line (Minifigures), but just in the LEGO future in general (although that said, I personally would not mind having an actual gorilla as one of the minifigures in a future series of Minifigures). And yeah, I also agree it would be good to use the longer arms for one (though I think if you did that, it wouldn't need to have the stubby legs as well).

Interesting! The boxer, lumberjack, sleuth, and graduate are some of my favorites here. But I also love the Snowboarder's jacket, and am growing fonder of the new chimp. Still would have preferred a more posable monkey or chimp somewhere between the old monkey and this guy, though.

This is the first time the gladiator's face has been visible. Pretty fearsome! Also, we can now see clearly that the dragon suit guy or whatever you want to call him has both a helmet and a neck accessory that includes his tail, meaning he can turn his head-- something I'm very grateful for.

Also, something I want to point out that my brother noticed recently-- many Collectible Minifigure outfits, including Series 5 ones, are available as costumes in the LEGO Ninjago iPhone app. The Cleopatra fig is called "Egyptian Royal" there, but no idea if that'll end up being the finalized name. I can't remember other names at the moment, but he can remind me next time I see him.

Thanks for the pics, iElkie! The zookeeper, graduate, mobster, lumberjack, and dinosaur suit guy all look great, and many of the other minifigs have some parts that would be useful to me (the clown's pie, the Buckingham Palace guard's rifle, the dancer's pink boombox, etc.). Also, it seems that the dinosaur suit guy's tail isn't attached to the headpiece at all, rather it's a seperate neck attachment. All in all, this series is looking much better.

Loving this new batch.

That male snowboarder could be great for my snowboard mad sister and her snowboard mad boyfriend :)

And that mobster is excellent.

Even the detective and zookeeper are starting to grow on me (and may find their way into my collection :)

Oh, how I love these! This whole theme continues to delight.

Poseability would be wonderful, yes, but then it would probably make it as expensive to produce as a whole additional human minifigure (or getting close to it, anyway). It's cool that some of the minifigures already come with additional "minifigures" of their own, even if they're just non-articulated, single-piece critters of the sort we're all so familiar with; in the zookeeper's case, it's an entirely new figure she comes with (as opposed to the traditional LEGO bat, scorpion and snake included with other figures in the theme up to this series), and it's printed, too. Articulation would really be a bit much to expect for a figure that's considered just an "accessory" for another figure, even though I for one obviously like to think of it as a figure in its own right.

Now you gotta love that little monkey eh ?

A huge  Lego - this theme is getting better and better......a lumberjack...when do we start singing ?

I have heard though series 5 might not be out until September from one of my retail sources. :look:

Anyway, I can't wait to get some of these figures for my son to start working on !

Nice find! I still don't like the dwarf, gladiator, clown or cavewoman. The rest are great though. shame there's no reverse pics. love to see dinocroc guy's tail properly.

I fully expect to see some awesome Monthy Python "Lumberjack Song" MOCs.

Thanks for the pics! I really like the monkey. Is there any picture that shows the torso of the British guard? That Cleopatra fig is awesome.

It's great to finally see the hi-res images of the CMS5 figs, thanks for sharing these iElkie! Interestingly, there are a lot of elements that I really like in this series - like the very nice printing of the snowboard, the useful snowboarder's jacket, and the gladiator's highly-detailed 'holed' helmet. I'm also curious to know if the boxer's gloves are actual 'hand pieces' or accessory-types only (held by the hand like the cheerleader's pom-poms). Among these, the most favorite for me still is the lumberjac - I simply love the overall civilian look (checkered shirt, jeans, new hat print) and of course that sweet new axe piece.
