Hi all,

yesterday night I got an interesting Newsletter from MGM, announcing a new Stargate SG-1 Magazine AND (what I was surprised of very much) a SG-1 board game, which already won a "Seal of Excellence" Award....

Besides this they advertise a book with 6 original scripts plus bonus materials...

Please have a look at the attached newsletter (as jpeg... ;))

The magazine is a ripoff, the show has gone to hell, and yet there will be a season 9.

I just hope less people watch the show when the move the time slots around.

Ah, the sweet smell of reason ...

Anywho, although I'm a big fan for SG-1 (less so Atlantis, but it's still in its infancy), I can't say any of these items really appeals to me.

Personnally, I think the show is still very good, and for me it's one of the few "must see" shows every week (CSI:LV & the new Battlestar Galactica are the other two) - I guess having a more consistent schedule here in the UK helps a lot.

Thanks for the info though !

The game doesn't really interested me either (besides the fact that it's fan ware).

The Mag would be cool though I don't think that it will be available for me here in Germany.... :(

But maybe I should move to UK, it seems like you are able to see things sooner than me.... :( (Haven't even heard of a new Battlestar Galactica :'( )

Oh, there were some great mods for half life (1) in progress.... but as far as I know all (even those who looked almost complete) died sometime..... :'(

By the way: Any infos / homepage about this game?

Based on the mini series that was shown last year, they've made a 13 part series, which is currently showing in the UK on SKY, our satelite TV network. It's due to start showing in the US in the new year IIRC - sorry, not sure which network. UK got it first as SKY co-funded the production. It's very good. Much more character-driven than the original.
