well, now that i can actually think (now that im past the seeing thing) about what has been done here (spliting pirates off) im gonna relect... doesn't make any sense ??? why were western, adventurers, and vikings chosen to stay with the castle and not go with the pirates ??? what is the logic here.

if i was going to group any of these themes together i would put castle, pirates and vikings together. then i would put adventurers and western together in another forum. ninja would locially follow with the castle theme around.

i mean how do the adventurers or cowboys have more to do with castle than with pirates ???

I think they just did it because at the moment, pirates has more posts then the other four themes combined, so they gave it it's own forum.

And also, in regard to Phes's comment re. the number of posts (more in Pirates), it's quantity vs. quality, and we all know that Auto Pirate Spam is giving the pirates an unfair advantage, but History and Adventure will be the best forum! It feels good to be back. I have some catching up to do, esp. with Batman.

That's when you look at any Pirate-related message and see that the last reply was by a certain "Phes". Generally, you can find the name on every message on a page, almost as if generated by an "auto-spam-generator". Actually though, I didn't make the term up, but rather someone else on this board (who i can't recall) several months ago. - but that's OK Phes, you keep the board alive and knowing that you'll at least respond is somewhat reassuring.

I think the intent was to give Pirates it's own board since many of the frequest posters (esp. Phes) are Pirate fans. I won't get in to my other conspiracy theory which deals with mutiny and coercion.

I think the split is reasonable enough. The pirate fans are a pretty distinct "crew" and I think them having their own high volume forum is OK.

My impression has been that castle/adventurer people typically like both these themes quite a bit, and Western fits better here than with Pie Rats.

Certainly other than Technic stuff, I clearly belong mostly in the Adventurer/Castle forum, and as soon as I can come up from under the mountain of work I have been buried in since April, I hope to do my share to liven up this forum. Sigh. June will be bad, July worse. Maybe in August. I haven't worked this hard since..... ever, Argh.

You History and Adventure themes users have some catching up to do as the LEGO Pirates Forum has over 1000 more posts than the LEGO Castle & History Forum and the pirates forum is just one theme! :-D

The Brickster, if you look closely you'll observe that my "auto-spam-generator" service was given to ALL themes in the former LEGO Castle & Castle Forum until the forum finally came alive, and not just pirates. Besides I'd like to think my posts were of a higher quality than spam, afterall I did bother to write at least a paragraph (in most of them) with decent spelling and grammar, when I could have written a simpler messages like "Yeah, I completely agree..." or whatever just to keep the thread alive. It can't be helped if nobody else could think of anything more intelligent to add to these threads after I last posted! :-D

I notice the same of you with the countless Adventurer threads and polls - they all seem to have your username listed as the last poster, so therefore you must be the "auto-spam-generator" for Adventurers!

This is why EB is so great. We can give an admin a hard time and he doesn't instantly whip out the ban stick!

We are all spammers of a sort. Some of us are in slow motion, while others seem to be in fast forward and the majority are somewher in between.

Our own forum doesn't really work for castle or adventurer themes though as the only truely specific forums are the buy/sell/trade and pirate, one for obvious reasons and the other because it is so popular.
