Brickdoctor Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Um, Teletubies at #99? Seriously? Should that even be on the list? Trivial Pursuit beat out Risk? I don't even see chess or checkers on the list. I guess they were doing only brand games. How is the Wii any different than a GameBoy? Okay, so one is portable, but they're both Nintendo. Star Wars beat Transformers and Barbie, though. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I can't believe He-Man is so high on the list. Seriously, what year is this again? Unless there was a reboot I'm not aware of... Quote
RileyC Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 haha He-man homo-erotic action figure thats hilarious But I dont get why the Wii is separate from Nintendo game consoles? Well its kind of obvious that Lego is number 1, I mean with 62 bricks per person its not difficult to gain that status. Though it would be nice if they did a top 100 (or 50) of Lego themes. I think that would be really interesting to watch or read. Should this be moved to culture and multimedia now? its not really that Lego orientated IMO. Quote

Well if you do a top themes for LEGO, we already know Classic Space, Classic Castle, City/Town, and Star Wars would be four of the top five, but they'd probably mess it up. Then Galidor can battle its successor Ben 10 for the last place ranking. Quote
Iain Posted December 21, 2010 Author Posted December 21, 2010 On the actual TV coundown, when they revealed Nintendo at no.4 they specifically talked about Super Mario Brothers. I've watched it back on 4OD and its not that clear if they are talking about the console or the actual game. Channel 4 "Greatest" lists never give an accurate reflection of what is most popular (apart from Lego of course!) I didn't vote for this list but I have voted previously and they normally have a pre-selected list that you can choose from, so really this is only a coundown of the pre-selected list chosen by Channel 4. Runamuck Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 There is one thing that confuses me: 27 Plasticine 26 Play-Doh Aren't those two things exactly the same except that Play-Doh is a brand name? Nice to see that Transformer beat action-man. One thing that I notice is that the timeline of this list is all over the place. Atari being one of the most obvious offenders. Quote

Plasticine is a more thick material that is great for model making. Whereas play-doh is a soft material for children. It's actually hard to explain the difference but it is noticeable when the two are side-by-side. Quote
