BigDaddy Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 An old tree near the river serves as a secret training ground for this Ninja clan. The Masters gather to train their forces at this Ninja Training Camp Ninjas Unite! :-) Quote
Sir Dillon Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Wow. Beautiful creation, BigDaddy. From the tree to the lanscape to the boat, everything is well done. Yay ninjas! :-P Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Fantastic Moc BigDaddy !! You really captured the "zen essence" of the scenery: a huge tree in front of water, bamboos !! Also you added some great details like the lantern and barge. I also love all the poses from the different training exercises ;-) Two thumbs up !!! *yoda* Quote
Dreamweb Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Well done! I think the original Ninja theme had one of the greatest minifigs ever made but the buildings weren't that good. If only they had made sets like this MOC the line would have been way better! Quote
Norro Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I just can't get passed how great your use of the brown door thingee was! The tree and concept is also nice. Great work! God Bless, Nathan Quote
SuvieD Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 *wub* Ooh, awe! Secret hollowed out trees, ninja training grounds sounds like a ninja/forestman crossover. I love it! Some of the ninja movements are very exagerated. Whether it is on purpose or just to show how flexible they are it works well. Ninjas can practically fly anyway right? ;-) The scene has some great landscaping. I would suggest that the tree would have some roots going into the water and that there would be a few rocks here and there. Otherwise great! MOC on! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 24, 2006 Governor Posted May 24, 2006 Before I congratulate Mr Big Daddy on a job well done I must ask if he actually created this or merely found it on Brickshelf... Quote
Sir Dillon Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Before I congratulate Mr Big Daddy on a job well done I must ask if he actually created this or merely found it on Brickshelf... Well it's in his Brickshelf gallery, and Nelson's most definatly not the type of person to steal others MOCs. :-) Quote
Norro Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Before I congratulate Mr Big Daddy on a job well done I must ask if he actually created this or merely found it on Brickshelf... He generates a lot of MOCs over on CC... this is one of them... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Dreamweb Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 So he should show them here as well, the more people see your MOC the better. Quote
Norro Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 So he should show them here as well, the more people see your MOC the better. I totally agree... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Sir Dillon Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I believe he's posted most of his creations since he joined here, but none of his older stuff. Quote
JoeMI6 Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 That's one great MOC, your high quality building skills continue to impress me. Quote
Dreamweb Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Post your older stuff Mr. BigDaddy! Since it hasn't been posted here yet it will be like a premiere to most of us anyway! Quote
BigDaddy Posted May 28, 2006 Author Posted May 28, 2006 Before I congratulate Mr Big Daddy on a job well done I must ask if he actually created this or merely found it on Brickshelf... I can't believe it... you caught me! >:-( This MOC actually belongs to builder "Y-Bros-K", who I found to be "Sir Nelson" in the C-C forums. Since he has the same building style as me, as well as the same LEGO collection, and physical body, I decided to use his computer to take his Ninja tree images off of Brickshelf and post them here. *wacko* *wacko* *wacko* I'm not certain why you would make such a comment, Mister Phes, but I will pardon you. And to the rest of you, I will go ahead and make a post on my older MOCs in the "Your Own Creations" area. Stay tuned... Quote
KimT Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Nice work - this ensures me that I missed something when the Ninja theme was on and I was off |-/ Can't wait to see more *y* KimT MOC ON! Quote

Stay tuned... People post brickshelf finds for discussion, similarly to Bruce on CC.... God Bless, Nathan Quote

Yeah, I don't think Phes was saying he thought you claim this creation is your own when it isn't, but since you never said anything like, "I built this..." he wasn't sure if you built it or not. I see now how I misunderstood Mister Phes comment - my apology. Thanks, Sir Dillon and Norro setting me straight. :-$ I typically post my own MOCs, not others'. Indeed, I was asked to join in as a LEGO blog writer recently, but due to a lack of free time, I'd rather be building a MOC than posting BS finds. I'll be making more Ninja MOCs one day. Count on it! Indeed, I was asked to join in as a LEGO blog writer recently, but due to a lack of free time, I'd rather be building a MOC than posting BS finds. I'll be making more Ninja MOCs one day. Count on it! We had a few bad apples actually post MOCs and claim they were theirs in the not too distant past. Which sort of makes you question validity a little. Also, like the other said people often, including Phes, post others MOCs to insure there is something interesting to talk about. Not that we want you to toot your own horn but a simple little sentence like "I built this last week" clears it up fast and easy like. I am looking forward to more awesome ninja MOCs! MOC on! Quote
