merman Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 (edited) Found this: maybe old news, fake, a rumor, but: http://www.happytoys.nl/contents/nl/p2353.html 10221 - Villa Maison, 2210 parts It says it perfectly fits in a town and not sure when it is on sale. Or is this the fake moc. This is a regular toy webshop Never mind it's the fake moc Edited January 23, 2011 by merman
Jasper Joppe Geers Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Forget it. Akthough it's a great creation of Marcos Bessa, this is not the net modular set.
merman Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Forget it. Akthough it's a great creation of Marcos Bessa, this is not the net modular set. I realize that now. Sorry for bringing it up again. Stupid so many webshops copy-paste this info without checking...
David Thomsen Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 With an image of the new Maersk train cached at Lego.com, I wonder if the next modular is hidden there as well... who knows how to search for such things?
einsteinonthebeach Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Almost sure it will be a Pet Shop, saw the set # too. Mark
Grrr Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Hmm - the Maersk train is set 10219. What's the bet that 10218 is our new modular building?
drdavewatford Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) OK, so what's the set number, einsteinonthebeach ? Edited January 24, 2011 by drdavewatford

gotoAndLego Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) Forget it. Akthough it's a great creation of Marcos Bessa, this is not the net modular set. Market Street was an AFOL-designed set. Its possible they would do it again. Wasn't he hired by Lego? Edited January 24, 2011 by gotoAndLego
The Player Nº1 Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Market Street was an AFOL-designed set. Its possible they would do it again. Wasn't he hired by Lego? Yes, he was.. He is Portuguese and he have a blog were I go often! Regards
arnoldtblumberg Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) Yes, he was.. He is Portuguese and he have a blog were I go often! Regards ..never mind. I was posting that it was Eric Brok that designed Market Street, then I realized you're probably talking about Bessa. Ignore me. :) Edited January 25, 2011 by arnoldtblumberg
Jasper Joppe Geers Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Never mind. I'd just like to say that Erik Brok was from The Netherlands, not Norway. (Feeling a little stupid, proud and sad that he's no longer with us...) Cheers, JJ.
gotoAndLego Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 ..never mind. I was posting that it was Eric Brok that designed Market Street, then I realized you're probably talking about Bessa. Ignore me. :) My point was that since Lego released a modular designed by an AFOL, its possible that they will release Villa Maison as an official set.
Jasper Joppe Geers Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Although The Maison Villa would be a great set, (and i defenitely would like one!) I don't think it would happen. If there will be another Modular it is most likely it's a Jamie Berard one since he's the guy who started the whole modular house idea some years ago. As far as i know there's also some difference between the designers for the exclusive series and the lines like Creator, pirates etc.
Follows Closely Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 My point was that since Lego released a modular designed by an AFOL, its possible that they will release Villa Maison as an official set. Maybe, but not that set. No offense to the creator of Villa Maison, but that MOC is not good enough to be a set.
gotoAndLego Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Maybe, but not that set. No offense to the creator of Villa Maison, but that MOC is not good enough to be a set. I do agree that its not his best work. Something like Lionheart Villa would be a better official release.
