GRogall Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Why they give mailbox in front of GE, if there will be post office with mailboxes next to the GE?This doesn't make any sense... Im for pet shop, not for post. You could also ask why is there a Fire-hydrent in GG which is siting next to FB!?
The Yellow Brick Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 There was a girl with a purse outside.. Yes the tan bag.
Ondra Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 (edited) You could also ask why is there a Fire-hydrent in GG which is siting next to FB!? Yes, I also think about this.Location of fire hydrant seems to be more logical than mailbox next to the post office. But in the other hand, tan bag isn´t any kind of clue for me. Further explanation may be that the evidence is only consolidating with Jamie Berard buildings and for year 2011 is modular house projected by another designer. P.s.:I bet you know what will be the next modular house. Edited January 1, 2011 by Ondra
Jargo Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 the ice cream cart in GE seems quite incongruous to me. If anything were a clue I'd take that as it. A mail box and store shopping bag don't seem unusual but an ice cream cart with no vendor does. Had it been a coin operated newspaper stand I wouldn't have found it unusual but has anyone ever seen an unnattended ice cream cart? Unless Lego are toying with us. Leaving a red herring....

Had it been a coin operated newspaper stand I wouldn't have found it unusual but has anyone ever seen an unnattended ice cream cart? Not sure what you mean by unattended? In the box picture of the set one of the store employes is selling the boy the ice-cream. Also the hints usually don't have anything to do with the sets theme! In 10182 Café Corner a Minifigure is sweeping Green Vagetables into the trash can. this has nothing to do with Café Corner. In 10185 Green Grocer, There is a fire-hydrant sitting next to the Lamppost. In 10197 Fire Brigade the Minifigure with the purse also has nothing to do with the set theme, but is carrying a beige purse. in 10211 Grand Emporium the Post box sitting next to the Lamppost is again the object witch has nothing to do with set! If the hints continue in this matter, the next hint will be with one of the Minifigures! But what do I know? Edited January 1, 2011 by grogall
the-bricking-builder Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 the minifigures hints groom mannequin--> town hall/church? bride mannequin--> town hall/church? shopping lady----> house? window cleaner---> street cleaner/comunity worker? child------------> pet shop/icecream parlor? shopping man ----> post office? cashier----------> pet shop cashier/post office cashier? I don't know, but i gonna buy him I think the pet shop is for city and I hope we got a post office
Jargo Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 you mean the single store employee that has to attend to three floors and an ice cream stand single handed I actually thought she was a customer and there weren't any employees but I looked at the pictures again and I suppose she is.
the-bricking-builder Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 (edited) yes that one i mean. I think it's a town hall because of the wedding clothes or it's a church but lego don't relegions things EDIT the hint is the man with the letter so it's be a post office Edited January 1, 2011 by the-bricking-builder
Nebi Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Yes, I also think about this.Location of fire hydrant seems to be more logical than mailbox next to the post office. Here in Germany there are always mailboxes next or in front of the post offices ;) Hey, but another idea: for shopping in the Grand Emporium you need money - so a bank would be useful ^^

Nebi Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 yes but we already have a bank in the city but a modular would be nice too. We also had a fire station in the city theme ;-) But when I think about it, the bank would be a corner building. Some other ideas for the next modular building: police station movie theatre hospital pharmacy (1st floor) and medical praxis (2nd floor)
The Yellow Brick Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 (edited) We also had a fire station in the city theme ;-) But when I think about it, the bank would be a corner building. The modular fire station was the first fire station in a few years. So releasing two banks in one year would be abit odd don't you think Edited January 1, 2011 by The Red Brick
GRogall Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Maybe there is a hint of the set in this picture? :cry_sad:
TheMagician Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Now that's an interesting picture - not that it reveals much but interesting nevertheless :) What's the source?
freeedrik Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 (edited) Hmm, i dont think that it will be a new tan modular. This far no color has been repeated. Now that's an interesting picture - not that it reveals much but interesting nevertheless :) What's the source? http://jobs.lego.com/en-us/default.aspx There at Jamie Berards video Edited January 1, 2011 by freeedrik

TheMagician Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) I put the two pictures together, left and right of Berard's head, and removed what was left of his head - sorry Jamie ;) Two things I find strange: -The height of the building doesn't fit that of the other modulars. -I think we're looking at the back of the building. Otherwise it would be an inside corner building which I find unlikely. Edited January 2, 2011 by TheMagician
geiri Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) Dossent look finished. 2 Floors? Or could it be? And with the photoshoppin it looks like it could be an corner facing the other way of the normals. front and upwards instead of front and downwards. Would be great, need that to fill the space in my display. BTW anyone know how long this video been out? Edited January 2, 2011 by geiri
Derek Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Hmmm. For some reason, I don't think that's the new modular... If it is, I don't think I'll be too happy... -Derek
Mr Hobbles Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 It looks to me like it has hinges and opens up...
David Thomsen Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 It may just be an unfinished/abandoned prototype. I don't think they're going to change the height of their modular buildings, and regular City buildings don't look like that, it's just a thing in Jamie's workshop with no real meaning. Maybe they were experimenting with having an inside corner building.
the-bricking-builder Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) yeah it might could be but if we had a corner building, then we get 2 normal buildings Cafe Corner,Green Grocer,Fire Brigade so I don't think that's the new building but i would love it and sure buy it.I think we get 8 other buildings,so weget a sqaure 2 corner buildings and 6 normal buildings so we get a little sqaure in the middle. Rick Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 You're all assuming they're going for a 'block'. After corner (CC), straight (GG), straight (FB), corner (GE), it could also be that they continue across the street and start a new block of four, as seems to be the case behind Jamie Berard in the video. Not that I believe anything can be conducted from that. I don't think they'd leave the next modular in plain sight for such a video (but then again, they did it with the entire confirmed 2011 line-up). Furthermore, I still think it's most likely there will be another straight building now. I still have my money on a post office.
