I would like someone to gently walk me away from my Wife, as it is unhealthy to be near her right now.

I'd like to tell someone to get a grip and grow some backbone.

Are you just gonna cry over her or avenge her?

I'd like to collect the knife for safekeeping.

Chief Phelps picks the knife up for safekeeping.

Congressman Bob helps Ralph walk away from his deceased wife, as her body is taken away by Dr. Lloyd and Nurse Parker. A moment later, they return after depositing her body at the hospital.

This is no time for going crazy. And who the hell is this lord?

Allow a woman a moment to compose herself, please. Sure, maybe you can be blasé about a murder occurring in front of us, but I certainly can't.

I think I need a glass of red wine.

As for not knowing the Lord, what decent God-fearing American doesn't know their Lord. First you fail to protect us, then you show a lack of faith...

I came from the military. I forget where we meet. Was it in the army, Louis?

Well sort of, Don't you remember June 6, 1944? We climbed the rope together and sat on the boat together, ever since then we were good friends. And both the Police? There's three of us.

I said Officers so I didn't include the chief. What brought the two of you to Alabatha?

Speaking of the chief, though, does he have military training as well?

Oh, yea. Sorry, that rocket blew me right into a rock. Got a pretty big concussion from it.

Well, I wanted to get somewhere peaceful after the war, and me and Louis are great friends, so we both came here. I don't know about the Chief though.

And Dolores, if you can tell me who the commie is, I'll be glad to shoot 'im. As of yet, we don't know, and I can't build a wall around every goverment member.

But I would like to stand a bit closer to the Mayor just in case.

Nope. I've spent my entire life here in Alabatha.

I blink for a moment and suddenly two people are down and one of them dead! I wonder, did they aim for the mayor and miss or did they aim for Miss Jenkins and hit the mayor. Mabey they missed the target alltogether! Hmm, so many options...

I would like to join the group on the way to the Town Hall and keep my eyes open for any people hidding in the shadows with knifes.

That isn't particularly helpful talk, he just lost his wife to the communist insurgence. Have some compassion. :sceptic:

Indeed, only communists don't believe in the dear Lord.

Dolores heads into Dieter's and uncorks a bottle of wine. She has a glass, and then returns.

But I would like to stand a bit closer to the Mayor just in case.

Officer Fields moves closer to the Mayor.

I would like to join the group on the way to the Town Hall and keep my eyes open for any people hidding in the shadows with knifes.

The group moves into the Town Hall. They are now on the first floor. Where would you like to go?

But since you brought it up, did you hear anything odd at the farm in the last few weeks?

No, nothing at all. Though if anything happened at the abandoned store, being quite a distance from the house I may have missed it.

We still need to explore the third and fourth floors of the Town Hall, but I think a few people here wanted to have another look at the records?

I'd like a few people go down to the basement and find the personnel records for the government workers in town. They should be in the boxes that we locked in the jail cell, which means Chief Phelps needs to go with you.

I'd personnally like to go to the second floor and pull the case file for Laura Jefferson's death. I'd also like someone to type the following phrase on every typewriter in town hall:

"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." in both uppercase and lowercase. Make sure to note which typewriter is which. Also make sure to get the numbers and special characters. If no one volunteers, I'll do it, but it'll take me a bit to find the file, I'm sure.

Would I know if any typewriters have been bought in the last five years in Town Hall? If necessary, we could try and find Purchase Orders for them.

I'd be glad to help you by doing the typing, mayor. I'm pretty slow at it. Probably why I don't have a desk job.

I would like to do as the mayor says, typing the aforementioned phrase and th elocation of the typewriter I'm using on every typewriter I can find.

Did you hire your officers yourself, Chief?

Damn commies killing one of our own, they will pay dearly for this when we catch them. Someone here is not who they claim to be, I have a right mind to take you each aside one at a time and try out some of those new interrogation methods everyone is raging about back at the office.

Matt looks around suspiciously.

I concur, let us finish what we started at the town hall. A lot can be learned from the recent actions of public servants, I intend to discover exactly what they've been up to.

Hey look. Matt decided to join us today. So are you going to help us investigate, or are you just going to stand around pandering while you watch us do all the work? :hmpf_bad:

Okay, I'm ready to find and kill the bastard that took my wife away from me. My sorrow has turned to anger.

This is going to sound heartless but please try to keep calm and keep your mind on other things. We still are in danger and we need everyone to help. We don't want to loose anyone else. I am sure we will find and kill the murderer in good time but that mustn't be our only priority. Okay?

I would like to do my regular bin search.

Chief Phelps journeys downstairs into the basement, and a few moments later, returns with the boxes from the jail cells. With help from others, he bring the boxes into the police squad room on the second floor. The others follow. Mayor Bradford then goes into the filing cabinet marked "Solved Cases". He pulls out the Jefferson Death case file.

I would like to do as the mayor says, typing the aforementioned phrase and th elocation of the typewriter I'm using on every typewriter I can find.

I would also like to help with the type-writer request

There are four typewriters in the Town Hall. One is in the records office, two in the police squad room, and one in Mayor Bradford's office. Eventually, all of them are brought into the squad room, and labeled one through four.

1) Records Room

2) Squad Room

3) Squad Room

4) Bradford's Office

Mayor Bradford, James, and Gloria type "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." in both lowercase and uppercase. The typewriters are from Gordon Machinery, a company in Pennsylvania. Since the typewriters are all the same, they all type exactly the same.

Which bin are you referring too?
