Captain Bayonet Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Simply beautiful Skalldyr, wonderful just like all your other MOCs. Quote
Enpaz Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Awww now that's really really beautiful! Great use of the plant parts, Skalldyr! Also, good positioning of the prince - it makes the scene look like in full motion. Good old nostalgia. Oh I'd been watching the trick film version of this fairy tale soo often as a child... some scenes of it I still remember cleary! Look, you're making me cry... what kind of person are you?? That's how good the MOC is. Great job! Enpaz Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 A truly lovely creation Skalldyr! The whole build really captures this fairy-tale scene perfectly! I'm lovin' the floral surroundings and the unconventional shape of the base. Sleeping Beauty and her Prince Charming are very well customized too. Great work and best of luck in the contest! Quote
The Crazy One Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Look, you're making me cry... what kind of person are you?? That's how good the MOC is. Great job! Enpaz It looks to me like he is making you sick! :P Seriously, stunning creation! My childhood floods back to me. I love the background. The only shame is that sleeping beauty's eyes are still open! :P Apart from that one thing it's flawless. Keep it up. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Cool little scene Skalldyr. I like the way those flowers look turned on their sides, and you've managed to make them dominate the scene nicely without taking too much away from the characters and the story. I do think intact staircase pillar standing above the rest of the rubble looks wrong. It might have been more effective to have it tumbled over, perhaps with a piece of it in the tan ground area. I Scream Clone Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Great work Skalldyr. Love the overgrown nature invading the ruins. Nice posing on the figs as well. Quote
Rick Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Beautiful scenery. I like the simplicity of the scene, combined with the refined build. Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 If you go to a lady, bring flowers. If you omit them, just pick one from the garden. Wasn't she supposed to be locked up in a tower? or was that only Rapunzel? Or maybe there are different versions of the story.. Anyway, it looks very fairy-tale-ish with all those flowers. And the staircase and the flag (especially with the rose going towards the top) are a nice touch. Well done. Quote
brickmack Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 (edited) Cool. Too bad there isn't a minifigure with closed eyes, it looks kinda odd with her eyes being open when she is supposed to be asleep or comatose or whatever. Lots of nice details also, like all of the flowers and the bits of rubble everywhere. Well done. No that was Rapunzel. Edited December 29, 2010 by brickmack Quote
Gabe Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 This is just beautiful. The way the ruins are covered with the flowery creeper is beyond perfect. Oh, and look, a bit of a joke... cause i bet the handsome prince is a bit of a creeper as well! Quote
shutinc Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 A very pretty scene and I like the rose garden. Excellent details as well! Quote
smittyfan Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 oh, i like that so much!!!!! it's so cool! so pretty! so ahh.... you don't by chance have any more princess fairytale MOCs, do you? Quote

buddy Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Excellent MOC! It is highly detailed. I too particularly the minifgs used, they work perfectly. Extremely well done. ~buddy~ Quote
Stiel Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Excellent scene! Apart from what's already been said, I also like that the base is not rectangular, and the dragon flag is also a nice touch. Well done. Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Beautiful moc Skalldyr . Like everyone else said, the choice of minifigs is great and the vegetation is wonderful. Fantasticly well done . Thanks, CB Quote
Lorentzen Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Wow - this is excellent work indeed. You've captured the fairytale feeling spot on. Excellent use of hair and face for the prince!! Quote
Cinderbike Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Great MOC. I was expecting to see square trees. Maybe I have seen the Disney version too much. Quote
Skalldyr Posted January 1, 2011 Author Posted January 1, 2011 Thank you all very much for your kind comments. It is really a pleasure to read them all. And I never expected such a little Moc gaining so much attention! Wasn't she supposed to be locked up in a tower? or was that only Rapunzel? No that was Rapunzel. It was in a Tower but I just wanted to build something with the green triangle pieces! you don't by chance have any more princess fairytale MOCs, do you? Sorry I have to disappoint you! Quote
neosmosis Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 awesome job capturing the feel of the fairytale, you should try doing some more :) Quote
Fancyman Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Stunning! It looks so peaceful and tranquil. Quote
Gregorovich Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 What a lovely MOC! The flowers and plants make it so realistic, and the way you've shaped the bed to fit in the dress slope is genius. Thanks for sharing! Quote
Internets Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) Too bad there isn't a minifigure with closed eyes There is! Though it's a fleshy. Hermione from Goblet Of Fire. Edited January 8, 2011 by Internets Quote
