Relativity

[NewRight]

Inspired by the works of M.C. Escher only in LEGO castle! An entry into CCCVIII.

Pretty cool! Escher was a master, and it pays to copy from the best. I'd like to see this with the camera pulled back, and a little better lit.

Some nice building here. It must have been tough to get everything to fit together correctly. I agree with Def about the lighting though - it may be more important than you realise. The simple scheme of lighting the creation from above gives us the impression that we are looking at this right-side-up, even if you did build it from all sides. Some more lights shining from all angles could make a really nice difference for creation. Taking the picture itself on an angle could help too, to possibly take away from that strong vertical beam on the right, which reinforces the feeling of looking at this right-side-up.

I also agree about backing up a bit, though I'm guessing you're backed up as far as you can right now. It does feel like it should be bigger compared to the original and the other LEGO variations of the work.

Wow that's excellent! These things always look extremely hard and confusing to make in real. But you did it

Also a funny idea to make in in the castle version. I'd like to see this from different angles.

Another excellent creation NewRight! Great job on translating Escher's mind-bending Relativity concept into Lego brickbuild. Like what the others have said, pulling this off in brickbuild is extremely challenging, and that I already consider a feat in itself.

Nice. That was one of my favorite Escher pictures. I saw a space version of this a few months back also.
