You've done a great job of making a South Aussie town! It's all great, but for some reason the protruding 'Police' sign really captures the look of driving into an Australian town for me. I guess its because just about every main street you drive down on a cross-country trip has one of those.

So will New Mannum get an old solitary cannon at the end of the main street to protect it?

Thanks for the comments 'Whup' and a cannon...a WWI or WWII one ?

I'll look into that idea.....Brick On everyone !

I can't remember what type it was - the one I'm referring to sits at the end of the main street overlooking the river. I've read the plaque on it and remember thinking 'if the bad guys have come this far I don't think one cannon will hold them back'.

I've never seen a Lego ferry, either. That might be a cool little construction, actually. A motorised ferry that moves back and forth across the river on some steel-cable/string...

Now a ferry, or a punt as they are known here in South Australia......you may never know what this tiger has on his mind !

Haha, I'll shut up now to save spoiling any potential surprises, then.

Don't the rest of the states use punt as well? I'm a fellow South Aussie, so I've got lot's of fond memories crossing at Wellington, Mannum, Morgan etc...

It really is great to see some local businesses represented though. I really love the way you've done the exterior of the post office too - I haven't got a photo to compare to handy, but I'm pretty sure I would have recognised it as an Australia post building even without the stickers.

Well, 'Whup' I will have a Foodland in the shopping centre.....when I get a huge cash injection for tiles and more tiles....oh, base plates too !

I have stuck with brand names that are national and even international otherwise I'll get who is that questions all the time.....which I don't mind at all. :classic:

More today everyone, so keep watching !

Don't forget a fat Post Man sitting at the bar.

Ah, someone else who wants my secret eh ?

Okay, first......material....photographic sticker paper, mine come from Officeworks in a 20 pack of 4x6 sheets.

Second, a good ink jet printer....then search on say Google want you want to use and download the image.

Now open MS paint and edit the image resizing it and scaling within reason with bricks and/or minifigs.

Print out on photo sticker paper, cut, peal, stick on the brick/panel/tile/torso.

Done.

Play around with it try, try and more trying - experience is the only real way of learning this trick.

Good luck to those willing to try.

Keep watching everyone !

Ah good old officeworks. I used alot of the sticker sheets from there. Havnt found anything similar in the stores here in Belgium but have started using vinyl A4 sticker paper which you can order on Amazon. It does the job nicely.

I like the pub design so far. Dont forget the pokie machines

Thanks for the comments 'michael', no....no pokies - my town is meant for children to play with....so pokies might not be the best thing for them to look at !

Well, maybe I should opened a new topic for my pub....gee, though I few more people would want a drink ?

Monday sees seating going in and hopefully flooring as well.....might have to score a female bar-keep as well....no topless, but a revealing torso is on the cards !:devil_laugh:

Keep watching.....suggestions for the pub and any thing else are still welcome ! :pir-sweet:

Although I may sound redundant, if you are going for a pub, you have to go for wood furniture! I hope you got all the brown bricks you need, LT!

Great additions, LT!

The train platform is really nice, I think you definitely went the right way with this one. Maybe add a ticket booth next to it if you haven't?

The pub is looking great too! I think you still need some stools and tables (obviously), and a billiards table would be nice if you can fit it.

I'm looking forward to the next update! :sweet:

In didn't realise till now that the whole city was build without a pub.

How did you get the union guys not to go on a strike?

Looking good again LT, too bad your updating skills outrun my forum visits and I have to jump in time.

Thanks 'AJ', 'L-Space', 'Artifex' and 'Captain Tamamono' for your kind words, suggestions, etc.,.

Now the furniture in the pub, wooden bench seats....maybe - a pool table.....hmmm, maybe a piano....yes a piano - now thats old school.....oh, a side-bar MOC might be comming up if I do.

Keep watching because Monday I start MOCing again !

Suggestions more....more please.....every bit helps thanks. :sweet:

Just finished designing the seating arrangements and piano on LDD, though the piano is going to be the trickiest because of the parts list in brown, brown and more brown !

Keep on watching, keep on suggesting.....please.

Maybe you could do black and white piano... altough that might not be very pub style...

Well suggestion that was

Thanks for the feedback 'icy brick', actually I'll be basing the piano on the one that was for some years in my mother-in-law's house....an old pianola. :classic:

Keep commenting everyone !

Just a little work done today on the pub, the bar keep area finished, I have decided to put a door leading down what would be a passage to the toilets and dining room. This will only be a front bar at the moment.

Hope to have the floor done tomorrow, and start work on the seating plus pianola as well !

Keep on watching !

No work today in New Mannum, tomorrow - yes though !

I had a reason for doing a service station poll, my roadhouse will be based partly on one of those service stations.....which one though......oh, I'm going with the Shell brand at the moment ! So make suggestions as much as you like !

Oh, New Mannum looks so great, LT! It's a lovely little town (and I mean that the best way it can possibly sound!)

The buildings, the business, the streets... It all looks fantastic! Not to mention the interior of each and every building! It's just... It feels real! And it's still Lego, with the best from Classic Town side-by-side with the best from today.

I just want to thank you for sharing your creation with us. It's a great MOC. It feels so real, so lively (even with no minifigs in the streets, so I think everybody can imagine how lively THAT will look like!)

And now go to bed and get well soon!

P.S.:

On the side: There are no bus stops?
