Tim's corrugated galvanised iron really looks awesome; thanks for sharing peterab!

I think it was Mike who came up with the galvanised iron as he built the school, Tim and Mike worked together on the layout shown.

Well, this is almost it.....an overview of New Mannum, just a short road section and that diesel bowser which I have decided to put next to the Landmark store where there is space for it.

Thanks 'TanTile' for your comments, the engine is still waiting for it's red parts and DBG tiles.

The RC motor is okay as all you don't have to pull the Emerald Night.....a crawl at full speed.

Oops, thanks you as well 'bpwilly3' for your kind words too ! :sweet:

Greenery, yes similar to the greenery around the police station....that's next on the list to be done I guess. :classic:

Keep on watching !

Very nice LT, can't wait for the final layout, it seems empty without minifigures going about but I'm sure you'll be putting some in

I like how all the buildings are the same height and same kind of style, a photo of the whole stretch from a minifig's point of view would be cool

Good work

Thanks 'Cpt.Mugwash', what you see is the town centre.....of course lacking some greenery but minifigs....each building has one in each working there. Though in saying that I must come up with more customs....oh, now ideas are comming to me....Keep on watching to find out !

It's really a joy to look through the pictures of the small town New Mannum. All those details, both in the architechure as well as in the interior. The interior in the hardware store is really smart. - I almost can get the feeling of how life is there.

Looking good.

Altho i would like to make a suggestion. Growing up in the wheat belt of SA the things i remember well are the local Aerial ping pong field, the two story brick pub and the grey above ground water pipe. If its big enough for an IGA and a Mitre10 then surely it should have those.

And i have heard that the Ceo of Mitre10 has seen the picture of the Mitre10 and Iga. Seems he forwarded them to Metcash the parent company to both Iga and M10.

Thanks 'ACCURATEin', 'Iaka' and 'Debrick' for your kind words and comments. :sweet:

It's great to hear that knowledge of my work is speading, first Australia Post and now Metcash......makes me want to do more now.

But I cannot expand New Mannum till after the show, as I wish to display the huge city collection with the high speed train running around them.....limited to 7.5m in length on a non-powered site....I'm going to go though batteries like anything !

Keep on watching everyone !

Check out Brickself, Classic Castle building tips, Flickr and´offical Lego sets wich has threes, Like MMV for example. Or then you can always go to Legos Website->Products->Creator and then watch some treebuilding and decoration thing there. Also Check the Town and other forums MOC indexes if there would be any good ideas.

Thanks for the heads up 'gambort', I will try and build one to see how it looks.....by the looks of it - lots of plates, hinge plates and bricks with studs on their sides.

Keep on watching !

Great work 'LT' I can't wait to see it completely finished! Talk about a MOC; an entire town?! I can't say I'm familiar with any of these stores, (U.S. WV :sweet: ) but, great job on the build!

Thanks 'Leg Godt Gud' for your kind words, well in the US IGA does exist, but Chemmart is a drug store chain and Mitre 10 just like Tru Value hardware stores.

Tree building starts tomorrow......so keep on watching !

Thank you 'Vaders_son', these images come from searches on Goggle Image page and some resizing before printing on photo sticker paper.

Keep on watching everyone.....more happening tomorrow !

Nice billboards

How do you go about resizing pictures to fit on lego? I'm guessing just using a measuring tape would work or is there a method of working out some kind of pixels to stud ratio thing?
