I've always loved greenhouses, and thus I had to create one for the Winter Village.

This is the first MOC I've posted to the net, as my Lego have been in storage for about 10 years

I would classify it as the "deluxe" set in the theme since it includes 5 mini figures, 2 lights and about 1100 pieces.

A little story to go along with the greenhouse... I wonder if anyone will catch the references?

Each image links to a 2048x1536 version. Sorry the pics are kinda on the poor side, my camera is acting up

FrontLeft.jpg

Jimmy, the greenhouse's deliveryman, is heading out on his bike to a customer's home.

BackAll.jpg

Karen has returned to the greenhouse she visited as a child, with her husband Paul, and son Billy.

June discusses flower arrangements with Paul while Karen looks out the window and Billy waits impatiently.

BackGreenhouse.jpg

Soda the cat is about to pounce the elusive frog while Mr. Hinkle the gardener mists the flowers.

More shots...

I really wanted to create customer decals, but wanted to make sure I got this posted in time!

Hope everyone likes!

Now this is a really cool idea - thinking outside of the normal village houses and coming up with a nice Victorian? style greenhouse - or gardenhouse. It reminds me of some National Trust places I have visited over the years. A great way to return to brick building!

Well done.

Welcome to Eurobricks Kazeneko! This is really a very nice entry for the Winer Village Contest, I really like the glass-paned walls and roof panels of the greenhouse. The lights really give the whole build an additional nice touch. Best of luck in the contest!

Great entry! It looks like it would fit in well in a winter village. It has a good level of detail.

Very well done. :classic:

Wonderful ~ I can almost smell the aroma of fresh-cut pine wreaths! I love greenhouses, garden centers in Winter! :classic:

Your photos seem fine; there is a really crisp one -- the others have a nice soft glow. I especially like the one where "Mr. Hinkle the gardener mists the flowers" because it actually appears misty!

Best of luck!

Agreed.

It's an unusual entry but it's very well executed.

Thank you everyone for the kind words, glad you like it!

Fuzzylegobricks, the names are from Frosty, Karen and Professor Hinkle are 2 of the characters and the rest are the voice actor's names.

It looks really nice, but I must say that I don't like using so many things from two winter sets.

You MOC looks more like MOD of Winter Toy Shop (pay attention on 4th picture). :sceptic:

However, it looks good.

It may look that way, but only about 40 pieces are from the 2 Winter Village sets (not including 3 of the minifigs), the rest are from creator sets (a lot from the log cabin for it's massive amounts of brown), loads of old town/pirate/castle buildings that were long ago taken apart for storage and pick-a-brick from trips to the Lego store in Denver. :classic:
