I see that I'm not the only one who cares about Extreme Cruiser  .I hope it will be something original and interesting.

I think Extreme Cruiser will be a an off-road vehicle that uses the same wheels and tires as 8466.

Let's hope it's good as there still seems to be no word on it as yet.

I hope Extreme Cruiser had a working gearbox :praying_smiley: .

Judging by the small size of it, I would say the chances of any type of gearbox are extremely slim to none... Plus it would probably be on the box somewhere...

@ peter_m: From Match #264 on Bricklink's "Tire on Wheel" Relationships webpage, the 2H2011 8071 set looks like it will have 56145 "Wheels 30.4mm D. x 20mm without Pinholes, with Reinforced Rims". The tires will have either the 44308 "Tires 43.2 x 22 H" or the 61481 "Tires 43.2mm D. x 26mm Balloon Small".

Since these tires don't look quite right, maybe TLG is making a NEW TIRE to fit that rim. :cry_happy:

The question was for the wheels and tires of the 8071, not the 8081 Anio ;)

For peter-m and Dluders :

For this 8071, the wheel and tires are the same as the rear of the tractor 8260 for example :

8260-1.jpg?0

56904.jpg?0 Ref 56904 : Wheel 30mm D. x 14mm (for Tire 43.2 x 14)

56898.jpg?1 Ref 56898 : Tire 43.2 x 14 Offset Tread

The size is the same as the Model team for example 5510 , 5540 , 5541 or 10151 , 5550 , 5580 , 5581 , 5590 and 5591.

Only bad thing about white liftarms or any white pieces is don't set them in the direct sun, they yellow over time, not sure why, but my bucket seats in my 8448 Supercar are yellowed from sitting on a table that got a lot of sun in the morning. I tried scrubbing them but it didn't work, apparently the plastic molds get funky in sunlight.

The white truck looks ok. kind of similar to the fire truck from a few years ago except smaller.

not sure when I will get more. I have just brought the rest of the 2010 sets which is on its way over now, but I am back to uni on Monday, so I will be a bit tight for money.

extreme cruiser sounds interesting.

I have a couple of white 3x5 liftarms from the 1:10 Ferrari F1. I quite like white pieces actually. :classic:

The Unimog and the flatbed look great, can't wait until July or August for their release. Hope they don't experience the same issues as the 8043 Excavator did this past summer and fall.

I've found theese set numbers and names at Brickset for summer:

8071-Bucket truck

8081-Extreme cruiser

8109-Flatbed truck

8110-Unimog U-400 :classic:

Another cool year for Technic :classic:

Lets start the discussion.

Hope we soon get some pictures!

Yes, Sunlight is damaging to any colour lego, fading/yellowing is also very noticeable in blue and grey colours.

It may also be worth adding that some white parts, no matter how in the dark they are, still yellow. I believe it was something to do with the fire retardant reacting with oxygen in the air, but I could be wrong and there is a proper topic dedicated to this already so.....

Scrubbing does not help...

Read this RetroBright Project, works for LEGO as well.

After my coveted 8448 white seats were damaged I kept all my Lego out of the sunlight. Had no idea prior to. Yeah I tried just soap and water, no good, didn't think it would remove the yellowing anyway, but I knew that something harsher with an abrasive would take the sheen off too. Learned my lesson the hard way, so my 8448's sets are now considered cream colored, which isn't all bad I guess, cream and red don't go badly together I guess.

We digress a bit from the original topic, but if you want to restore your yellowed Lego bricks, there is this Oxyclean method outlined in this Eurobricks post.
