legolijntje Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) I found it when I typed "lego 8110" at Google image search on page 1. HERE Edited April 10, 2011 by legolijntje Quote
Anio Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) So, Uwe Wabra (W4 BR4) did the 8071. edit : hum, not sure. "AP" match also with Alfred Petersen. And the way this 8071 is built is very similar to Alfred's design. Thus, the W4 BR4 is misleading. Edited April 10, 2011 by Anio Quote
chaosof99 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) I really like the design on the front of that cherry picker. Also, white beams aren't all that common if I'm not mistaken. Edited April 10, 2011 by chaosof99 Quote
Raphy Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) Pro'lly isn't the real one, if you look at this picture I posted, the railing for the bucket is flex tube, not joints and pins. There are all kinds of other differences too, for example, the white plate at the base of the crane on the "fake" one. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4938741 But then again it does have a TLC stamp on it, so I don't know. peter_m Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) It looks like modded reverse-engineered 8071 (check out lifting arms on both pics). Or maybe it is just a prototype? Also the front is slightly different... Edited April 10, 2011 by peter_m Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I'm convinced that the picture posted by Legolijntje is a fake! 1st: The paneling is wrong, Stickers are a nice but oh so wrong "own version". 2nd: A prelim stamp is easily made! 3rd: The photoshop on this picture is a shabby job! There are far more better version made by AFOLS: Check this one made by Cypr-21 of SetTechnic: Or this one made by Barman: Quote
legolijntje Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Yes, should I delete it? When I posted it, I thought already there was something wrong, but I had no time to check. Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 If it's fake there won't be a problem with the posting of unauthorized Prelim pictures... So just leave it! Quote
Erik Leppen Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I'm convinced that the picture posted by Legolijntje is a fake! I just think it's an earlier prototype. I have seen the version with those wheels before :) Quote
davidmull Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 If it's fake there won't be a problem with the posting of unauthorized Prelim pictures... So just leave it! a bit off topic but what do ye mean when ye say afols?also also what does people mean by mibs or something on new sets unopened? Quote

chaosof99 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I'll definitely get the Unimog, and probably the Cherry Picker since it is really interesting to me and the white pieces are kinda rare. I may get the Flatbed Truck some time later if I'm kind of bored, though I have much bigger sets to save up for both Technic and non-technic (Modular Houses, and I want to get the Imperial Flagship and the Black Pearl in the fall). The Extreme Cruiser is already out here, but I'm not interested in it at all. Quote
Badger Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 All the 2H of 2011 models look great , the unimog the best though ! Love the extreme cruiser and the flatbed ! Quote
Plastic Nurak Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 #8071 is heavily inspired to another well known set ... Quote
technicmad Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Unimog is the biggest set ever released? That's it I want it :) Quote
