Yeah it is strange that they make the 8109 look Like the star of the summer wave.

In the German/Austrian catalogue the Unimog is on the front page and inside it is the centerfold .

It has got two pages of attention in there!

I don't have it with me right now so I can't post the reference number.

Anyone noticed that 8043 Excavator has the cab on the wrong side?

Image has been flipped, they do that very often in flyers and newspapers sometimes with hilarious effects.

I also bought a 8069 shovel for myself today (mini LA's!), priced conservatively at 46 bucks, and it has a fair few useful parts despite the design being a bit flimsy and unoriginal (so much empty space inside lol).

Snowplow looks interesting for the alternate 8110 model. Looks like it uses the same undercarriage as the Unimog does though much like the 8436 Truck and the 8421 did. I like original 'b' models, but have to admit the snowplow since I live in the frozen north during the winter looks pretty cool. I own 3 Unimogs so I will build the plow model and leave 1 MISB for later selling on BL or Amazon.

Building instructions available on all 2h2011 model on Lego.com

Check it out

I agree the plow is very cool,it's nice to have both plow and crane on together :)

Are the motorized pneumatic switches as touchy on the Unimog as the 8049 Log Loader's were when you motorized that one? I hated that part because the valve switches were tight and tended to make the pistons open real fast which was annoying. I like the motorized function of the pneumatics, but they were more like 'on' and 'off' switches on the 8049 unless you carefully feathered them which was a pain.

Looking at the way the cranes is constructed the simple answer would be: yes, at least. This could have been a nice opportunity to introduce longer cylinders, which would make that a smaller problem as well as make the crane stronger.

Hi,

I don't know if these pics have been presented before, and I can't afford the time to check, so if they have I'm sorry to repost.

I just found pics of 9396 Helicopter and 9398 Crawler on the net, while searching for news of the crawler.

Source for the pics

EDIT: I posted in the wrong thread... Could some moderator pleas remove this post? I'll repost it as a new thread.
