Rufus Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 I have my character's picture on my signature, since I'm waiting for the Harry Potter avatar contest to finish. Hope you all have the "show signatures" option turned on. Likewise
yumiyoshi Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 I made the avatar too for the potterize raffle, but I thought this was more important and helpfull.
Ricecracker Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Def, go with whatever schedule works for you. We've all agreed to go by your schedule before we signed up, so there's really no reason for us to complain. I have my character's picture on my signature, since I'm waiting for the Harry Potter avatar contest to finish. Hope you all have the "show signatures" option turned on. I used to have signatures turned on, but I decided I'd turn them off for a bit after Superkalle posted this topic, just to see what it's like. I haven't switched back.
Mrlegoninja Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I made the avatar too for the potterize raffle, but I thought this was more important and helpfull. You can always put your Harry POtter avatar in your signature
Ricecracker Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Just FYI, one of the reasons I haven't been posting much is because I've been reading from my iPod, which for some reason won't let me reply. I'm planning to play the game mostly from my computer, now.
KotZ Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Now that is a way to die. Thanks def for letting me play! I had fun!
Walter Kovacs Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Now that is a way to die. Thanks def for letting me play! I had fun! Poised and stately. Only fitting for the King of Delusionland Delusionville Delaware.
sok117 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Thanks for letting me play Def!! I sure had an excellent time, can't wait to see what our heros will do!
RileyC Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Wow that's creepy Scouts! There is no emoticon to explain how creepy that is.
Scouty Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 The day before it was ThePenguin: Actually, it's Santa Clause staring into our souls. But they're both not quite staring straight into our souls. Jesus, however, is staring straight into our souls.
def Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 Some of the characters like photobombing, even in the 60's, that was a thing. By the way, is everyone enjoying Dr. B's character development? I find the writing is getting more abstract and strange, and Dr. B is becoming more of a deep, troubled character. Does anyone feel the same, or is it just talking Lego?
Hinckley Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 By the way, is everyone enjoying Dr. B's character development? I find the writing is getting more abstract and strange, and Dr. B is becoming more of a deep, troubled character. Does anyone feel the same, or is it just talking Lego? If it doesn't help us solve anything, it's just talking LEGO. Does it help us solve anything?
def Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 If it doesn't help us solve anything, it's just talking LEGO. Does it help us solve anything? It's a portrayal of one man's decent into a personal Hell fueled by regret and self-loathing that he cannot reach the heights of his troubled father. The doctor would never be running the Institute if he hadn't inherited it. His father was the true visionary. He denies responsibility for any deaths in the hospital, but at heart, he feels more responsible for them than anyone else there, including the Walrus gang. I'm going for the Pulitzer on this.
Sisco Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I'm going for the Pulitzer on this. I think you should get it. The characterization is marvelous! This has been a great one to follow, with an interesting story and great pictures. Keep it up!
JimBee Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I think you should get it. The characterization is marvelous! This has been a great one to follow, with an interesting story and great pictures. Keep it up! Agreed, very well done. IMO, characterization is one of the most important parts of the fun in mafia games.
Rufus Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 It's a portrayal of one man's decent into a personal Hell fueled by regret and self-loathing that he cannot reach the heights of his troubled father. The doctor would never be running the Institute if he hadn't inherited it. His father was the true visionary. Perhaps he should lay off the ketamine? Seriously, def, this a fantastic story: colourful, gripping, and poignant, with beautifully rendered scenes and fantastic photography. Just don't go too Twin Peaks with the ending! (Yes, I got the gum quote )
The Legonater Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Seriously, def, this a fantastic story: colourful, gripping, and poignant, with beautifully rendered scenes and fantastic photography. Just don't go too Twin Peaks with the ending! (Yes, I got the gum quote ) Agreed on every point! Well, except the gum- I just found that highly amusing.
def Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 I'm glad to hear it's not too weird. I'll have to jack it up a bit more.
Scouty Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I'm glad to hear it's not too weird. I'll have to jack it up a bit more. Oh, please do . Dr. Blutziegel is the best character I've seen in an EB Mafia.
iamded Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Indeed, I do love all the characters in this game. You're doing very well with the narrative, def!
Peanuts Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Indeed, great storytelling, def. I absolutely love Dr. Blutziegel's character. I hope my roleclaiming wasn't agianst the rules
def Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 I hope my roleclaiming wasn't agianst the rules Truthfully, Dr. Blutziegel's picking and choosing which battles are important these days.
Quarryman Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 And so it ends. One of my poorer mafia performances on EB I think. But still, I had fun, thanks for hosting this def, you're doing a great job
