Admiral Ron Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 And so ends another mafia game for me. Thanks for letting me play Def! This was perhaps my favorite game I played so far!
sok117 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) Glad to see day five up! But no ones mourning me! I want to be mourned! This game is getting really interesting, interesting indeed... and Def, if you wouldn't mind, could I get a link to the lobotomized picture of Havel? I wouldn't mind using it as my avatar for a while Edited January 16, 2011 by sok117
def Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Thanks for the kind words. Criticism is helpful too though. @Sok, you can grab the avatar from the first post of day five. And update your signature!
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Glad to see day five up! But no ones mourning me! I want to be mourned! Is that better?
sok117 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Is that better? Very much so my dear friend !!!
Zepher Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I want to say that everyone is playing a really fantastic game! I'm having lots of fun, so thanks Def and fellow players. I'm throwing this out now, in case things get dicey in the game thread!
sok117 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 These split votes are really interesting to follow, and I like seeing how everyones logic is going, wish I was still there, It'll be funny to see the lynch tally and someone be voted out with only like 3-4 votes against them.
def Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 It'll be funny to see the lynch tally and someone be voted out with only like 3-4 votes against them. I'd much rather see that than a unanimous one, but I think players here prefer to stick with the crowd. Here's another mental song to add to the soundtrack of the Asylum. Skip to about 1:50 into the clip ...always going down
Sisco Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 That has to be one of the most bizarre videos I've ever seen. Perfect for the Asylum! The song was delightfully creepy as well.
def Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 All the night actions are in, all the photos are taken, so tonight's going to be another 24-hour one. Possibly, starting Day Seven, days can be 24 hours too, unless people think that's unfair.
WhiteFang Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Thanks def for the very fine game experience. Unfortunately, this is one of my poorest game performance ever. Will be sitting down there and watching at the sidelines.
Hinckley Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 All the night actions are in, all the photos are taken, so tonight's going to be another 24-hour one. Possibly, starting Day Seven, days can be 24 hours too, unless people think that's unfair. I think days should still be 48 hours. So much happened yesterday. I think it's the perfect amount of time to be fair to everybody and everyone's schedule. Does that mean we have to wait another 12 hours for day 6?
def Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 Day Five had a big shift over 48 hours, but I'm wondering, as the number of players shrinks, if a shorter time is appropriate. Longer days gives Henry more to do though I think it's easier to make nights 24 hours though, as long as nobody gets tired from the marathon game play. It's fair to everyone assuming the night moves are already in, and everybody's been punctual so far.
badboytje88 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 (edited) Hurray for shorter nights! By the way you counted my vote twice. I unvoted timtam and voted for cookie. Edited January 19, 2011 by badboytje88

Rick Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I agree with Hinckley that 48 hours days are probably necessary to allow for discussions (in public or private) by people in different timezones. However, 24 hours nights...
Peanuts Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Yes, I would prefer to keep the 48 hour day. It's already much shorter than in regular games, and I really think 24 hours is to short for this game. It gives everyone time to attack, bring up evidence, answer questions, defend themselves and so on. The game is really confusing, and as promised, it's really driving me insane.
yumiyoshi Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I'm for the 48 hours. I've off screen 2/3 of the day so with 24 I'd have a little change to grab the right time.
iamded Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 48's good with me. It allows for more discussion, so instead of everyone reaching a unanimous vote and leaving it be, we can explore other options, really think things through. I like it.
Sandy Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Thanks for the awesome game, def! And the best of luck to the rest of the players.
Hinckley Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Shadows, you are no longer playing the game. You should not be trying to influence players behind the scenes. That is cheating.

Hinckley Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Haha, true to his name. I didn't know his name was Dick.
Ricecracker Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Sorry for that post. I accidentally selected all and replaced it with the letter I...
