JimBee Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Wasn't there a ladder somewhere around here? Didn't someone use it to get down from the hotel's second floor?
Walter Kovacs Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 There's always a way to do it. No matter how crazy it is. I would like to climb my way to the top using the window sills, balconies, anything to get ther.e Stevie, you do relize that the Hotel has ladders just lying around, due to their construction, don't you? I'd like to find a ladder at the Hotel that is long (and sturdy) enough to reach the roof. Seeing as there is no roof access, I am really wondering how Laura got up there. I'm also wondering why this question didn't appear in the police report. Oh, and for those that are confused, Laura Jefferson died four years ago. Mrs. Jenkins was the one that perished as a result of the attempt on my life this morning (seems like such a long time ago ). Let's try and keep things straight, people.
Captain Genaro Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Wouldn't a ladder get some attenetion? I mean, if you see some lady put up a three story ladder and start to clime it, wouldn't you ask questions? I'm also starting to sence a bit of a cover-up. Someone falls from a building with no roof access and the report says it was accidental? I wonder if the communists have infiltrated the government already. The only way that she would have been on the roof was if she was druged or went up on her own. I see no reason for her to be on the roof so I think that she was druged or nocked out when she was on the roof. How else would some one drag a person up three storys and throw them off without causing a scene? I would like to know if there is an ally on the back of the department store and if the hotel was renovating when the "accident" occured.
Dragonator Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 National guard troops sent in! You guys really take communists seriously! Communism, sir, is a very serious matter of national security, we take no chances when eradicating it.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 How about we go INSIDE the building??? And... commies have got into the government, an accidental fall off a roof without roof access?
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 If we can't get on the roof, I think we should continue to the Jefferson house. I would like to have a private conversation with the mayor.
Bob Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 Was the store or any neighboring buildings undergoing renovations when Mrs. Jefferson died? Do any of the neighboring buildings have fire escapes or roof access? The fire department has roof access. There's always a way to do it. No matter how crazy it is. I would like to climb my way to the top using the window sills, balconies, anything to get ther.e Stevie starts climbing up. As he climbs onto the flag pole, it snaps due to his weight. He falls back down onto the ground, hurt. Stevie, you do relize that the Hotel has ladders just lying around, due to their construction, don't you? I'd like to find a ladder at the Hotel that is long (and sturdy) enough to reach the roof. The ladder from the hotel is in the same place it was. I would like to have a private conversation with the mayor. James goes to talk to Mayor Bradford.
Walter Kovacs Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I was just going over some of my notes. I realized that noone showed much interest in a relatively fresh bloodstain in the Hotel, and a bloody knife in the trachcan. I ask the police officers present, have there been any reports of a missing person in, say, the last few weeks? Also, can someone examine the knife that killed Valerie Jenkins. Is it similar to the ones we found earlier? Chief Phelps has the earlier knives that we have found. How close together are the Fire Department and the Department Store? Are the roofs about the same height?

What kind of town do you people run here. What time of day was the body found and was it in the street or behind the store? I would like to ask everyone if Mrs. Jefferson was acting different before she died, doing anything out of the ordinary, acting strange, ect. Also, I would like to ask everyone if they saw Mrs. Jefferson enter the firehouse before she died or if she could enter the firehouse unnoticed.
The Crazy One Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 can e just clear up. Have we decided that Mrs Jefferson was the itended target? Sorry if I missed it.
Walter Kovacs Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 can e just clear up. Have we decided that Mrs Jefferson was the itended target? Sorry if I missed it. Just to reiterate: Laura Jefferson died four years ago by falling off the Department Store roof. Valerie Jenkins died this morning by a thrown knife. I can't speak for anyone else, but it certainly looks to me like the knife was meant for me.
The Legonater Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Oooh... that... almost... worked. Let's... try that again... in a few... hours... Hold on... there was... blood... in the hotel? I... don't seem... to remember.. that. Mind you.... that was a pretty... bad... fall...
RoryoCox Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 The fire department has roof access. Interesting. Is it possible to jump between roofs? Is there any other ways off the Department Store roof?
Admiral Ron Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 In order to keep moving, I would like to support Stevie.
The Legonater Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 In order to keep moving, I would like to support Stevie. Thanks sis.... now... if it is... possible... to jump roofs.... I'd like to... volun... teer.
Professor Flitwick Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Is it possible to jump between roofs? If not, I'd like to run to the ladder, bring it across to the fire stations roof, and use it to try and bridge the gap between the buildings. I'd also like to sternly remind Stevie he isn't Superman, and that he should exercise caution in the future.

CorneliusMurdock Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 If Stevie is not up to it, I think someone else should go over onto the roof besides Mr. Jefferson. Since I don't have any connection to the case, I'll volunteer to investigate.
JimBee Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Is the ladder tall enough to reach the roof of the department store? If not, let's just go to the Jefferson's house. We're wasting time here, we were obviously never intended to go on the roof.

Captain Genaro Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 So the way I see it, Mrs. Jefferson went into the fire station, climed to the roof, went over to the department store roof and was pushed off. She either climed up on her own or was nocked out and was dragged up. Does this sound right to everyone? I still think that something was very wrong with the police report, it is missing so much like how she got onto the roof, why she was on the roof, and a coroners report. I don't know about the rest of you but I agree with the chief and think that our work here is done. I vote that we go to the Jefferson's house.

Why are you two in such a rush?
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I would like to make it to the Jefferson's house before we have to vote if possible. Now that we've determined how difficult it would be to get on the roof, I'm not sure what else we expect to find after all these years. If we have time we can check it out, though.

The only thing that stops me from agreeing with you is that we might see a hidden roof hatch, something not visable from inside the third floor of the department store. It's a long shot, but I'd hate to miss it. On the other hand, I don't think searching the fire station from top to bottom is a good use of time. Just a quick romp up to the roof, see if tehre is anything to see up there, then on to the Jefferson residence. We might not even have to cross over to the Department Store roof, if there doesn't look like there is anything to see. Is the Fire House open? We had to get the fire truck to put out the Lakota from somewhere.
