This is all terribly strange. The bloodied rope on the roof and the height of the parapet just proves that this couldn't have been a mere accident. I think that the poor woman was already dead by the time she was pushed off the roof, and the body disappeared because someone didn't want an autopsy to be performed and a bullet hole to be discovered! Remember the soviet gun we found hidden on the third floor of the department store? I bet that was how she was killed. The rope was then possibly used to haul her up to the roof. But why would anyone, even a commie, want to kill her? Is there something in her past that we should be aware of?

It makes sence- someone must've shot her, stashed the gun under the carpet, pulled her to the top with roof, and pushed her off to make it look like an accident. Now we just need a motive.

Motive? What about that person Dolly said she saw your mother arguing with, they could wanted her dead. And all these years, and I thought her death was an accident. :sadnew:

I guess we should all move out to my house.

I guess we should all move out to my house.

And after all the years, I thoguht her death wasn't an accident. Turned out I was right.

I've been thinking, someone high up had to have not wanted that investiagtion to happen. The last mayor had been arrested, right? He was probably involved. there had to be someone else to tough, I think. He might've been high up, but I don't think he was high enough to stop the whole thing on his own. Someone else had to be helping him.

But for now, I agree- Let's go to our house now

Unbelievable, that she could have been murdered. This has been an emotional roller coaster. I do think some of the theories seem far fetched though. To assume that she was shot, dragged up with a rope, and then the murder weapon hid in a department store for five years seems to be just too much conjecture. And I don't know how incompetent the police department would have to be to miss a gun shot in an autopsy. She fell from four stories, the body wouldn't have exploded.

I think we're onto something, but shouldn't assume too much too fast, or we're going to look like suckers.

I'm in agreement about going to my house next.

Agreed, Delores. I will have to think about Mrs. Jefferson's death more, again.

I am also in agreement to go to the Jefferson household, as planned.

I think that a gun shot would have been too obvious. If everyone is telling the truth, I doubt that they could have gotten far enough away so a gun shot would not be heard and then back to town in ten minuets. I think that Mrs. Jefferson heard something she was not suppose to hear, someone lit a small fire, Mrs. Jefferson was stabbed, wound was covered up, carried through the fire station, droped off the roof, body taken from the morgue and droped in the harbor. I think she had to have been stabbed since there was blood but no gun shots were heard. I find it hard to believe that a quality police report would leave out the bloody rope at the top of the department store, or is it normal for buildings without roof access to have bloody ropes on them!

I would like to know if any current government workers were employed when the murder happened.

Next, I would like to know if any previous government workers have been arrested for corruption or communism since the murder and what there position was.

Finally, I would like to go to the Jefferson's house.

Oh... that was a skylight. Nevermind, then. I'd like to climb down

Stevie climbs down from the roof.

I would like to know if any current government workers were employed when the murder happened.

Next, I would like to know if any previous government workers have been arrested for corruption or communism since the murder and what there position was.

"Officer Fields and Harrison were, as well as Chief Phelps and Judge Cain. I was elected two years ago. Will was elected one year ago." Mayor Bradford says.

"There were many people arrested all over Delaware for corruption charges, but none for communism charges. Only Mayor Freeston was arrested on corruption charges from Alabatha." the Congressman says.

This is a list of previous mayors:

Lance Freeston: 1930 - 1948 (Arrested for Corruption)

James Swanson: 1948 - 1950 (Defeated by Ian Bradford)

Ian Bradford: 1950 -

Mayor Bradford is running for reelection this year, since it is 1952.

Does anyone have an idea about where the diversion fire took place?

"Out by the hills." Chief Phelps says. "We investigated, and the Fire Marshall determined arson as the cause of fire. We never did find out who started it."

The group sets out for the Jefferson House, it's late in the afternoon.

Once we get to the Jefferson Household, I'd like a full description of the outside of the house, as well as the yard.

I would like to know who the Jeffersons neighbors are and how close their home is to the downtown area.

Welcome to the Jefferson House.

"Feel free to look around." Patrick says.

Well, it's good to see that no one died on the way over here.

First, I'd like to walk around the house and get an approximate size and shape of the home. Does it look like there's a basement? Is there a garage? Any gardens, plantings, distinguishing features in the yard to look at? I will be comparing my impressions of the outside of the home to the shape of the first floor interior and basement later, if there is one.

What color is the house? It's not painted red, is it?

I don't think my questions were actually answered. Do they have neighbors and about how long did it take us to walk to their home?

Patrick, it was said that your first wife was arguing with someone about an affair before she died. I hate to be so blunt about this but were you having an affair or did you have any suspicions that your wife was being unfaithful? It would be best to be truthful even if it might be embarrassing.

The Jefferson household ehh...

Does the family have any veichles?

Is there house on the side of the main road or off the road?

I would like to know if there are any trees or bushes

The house doesn't have a garage or a basement. There's a small garden near the patio, and a few plants all around the house. Mayor Bradford also notes the outside dimensions of the first floor.

"It's painted tan." Patrick reports

Sorry! Their neighbors are the Jenkins. The house is about one minute away from the department store.

Only a bike. Patrick sold his car when he moved back to Alabatha permanently. There's one main road in Alabatha, it's on that main road. There are a few trees and bushes, more in the back.

I'd like to cut to the chase and climb onto the roof to see what's there

Stevie defies death again by climbing onto the roof of his house. There's a chimney, and a few birds, but not much else.

I'd like to search for piles of leaves, rocks, etc. that could be concealing a trapdoor or cellar.

I'd like to search for just a cellar too. It doesn't have to be concealed.

(I would like to walk around the patio and try tapping paving stones to see if they may hide something underneath. I would also like the garden described to me if possible.)

Ralph, have you seen or heard anything strange going at the Jefferson house in the last few years?

whoops meant to italicize what is in parentheses above.

You have a nice house here Mr. Jefferson. Did you build the house or did it have a previous owner? Perhaps the previous owner left something that they did not want seen.

I would like to know if the house has 1 or 2 levels.

I would also like to ask everyone if there is a plan for the house in the town hall. Has the house had any major renovations since it's construction?

Finally, I would like to suggust that everyone avoid climing onto the roof or trees and killing themselfs. The communists are plenty good at killing us. We don't need to help them any more.

That boy will be the death of me. Must he always be putting himself in precarious situations?

I'd like to boast loudly about my lovely home, and compliment the way Dolores looks after it.

Many thanks, but we also have the breadwinner to thank for making it all possible.

Since it is getting late, I would like to pop into the kitchen and see what is ready in the fridge to serve everyone. Maybe some juice or finger foods.

Ooh! Birds! I'd like to chuck a rock at one bird, then poke it's body. I'd also like to look down the chimney and see if anyone's stuck in there. Then I'd like to climc off and exitedly show people my room.

Judge Cain moves around piles of leaves and rocks, to look for something concealing a trapdoor. There's one area where Patrick is building a fallout shelter.

James taps the stones, but there's nothing hidden underneath them. In the garden, there's a plethora of flowers.

There's been no renovations.

Dolores cuts a loaf of bread, and serves water to the eager townspeople.

Stevie shows the first sign of a serial killer as he kills a small bird. He then looks down the chimney, but there's nothing in there. He then tries to lead people to his bedroom.

Whoa there Stevie, I don't really want to go to your bedroom just yet. I'm not sure I want to go anywhere with you, now that you just killed that bird for no good reason... Let's eat our bread and look around first.
