CorneliusMurdock Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I'll politely refuse the refreshments. Shall we begin the search inside, then?
Walter Kovacs Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I'd like to take a look at this fallout shelter.
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I'd like to take a look at this fallout shelter. Must have overlooked that shelter... How far along is the fallout shelter?
brickme Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I would like to accompany the mayor to the fallout shelter. I would like to know if the Jefferson's have a collection/hobby of anything (china, stamps, coins, etc.) I think it would be better if we all go in pairs at minimum to search the house.
Admiral Ron Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I will stand off to the side, attempting to not get in the way of the investigation.
Bob Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 I'd like to take a look at this fallout shelter. Mayor Bradford takes a look at the fallout shelter. It's built about two dozen feet from the house. Must have overlooked that shelter... How far along is the fallout shelter? "I've just started on the outside framework, and the planning is done." Patrick says. I would like to accompany the mayor to the fallout shelter. I would like to know if the Jefferson's have a collection/hobby of anything (china, stamps, coins, etc.) I think it would be better if we all go in pairs at minimum to search the house. "Stevie has a collection of comic books, but that's about it when it comes to hobbies." Patrick says. It's getting late, perhaps you should all move indoors.
Walter Kovacs Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 "Stevie has a collection of comic books, but that's about it when it comes to hobbies." Patrick says. Except for that Sears catalog under his mattress. I'll move on inside now. I'd like a description of the first room we enter, and start seeing if the inside of the house matches the outside dimensions.
JimBee Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Hm, I'd still like to check out that fallout shelter. Could it have something to do with the tunnels?
The Legonater Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Except for that Sears catalog under his mattress. What is it with you people?!? I'd like to use the broom taken from the barn to tap the ceiling and see if there's anything up there.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Hmm... the house was circled on the map right? Or am I losing my mind? But since there is a bomb/fallout shelter being built here, what could they possibly be planning? Could the bomb/fallout shelter be described?
Walter Kovacs Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I believe James still has the piece of paper we found on the dead communist this morning. Might I take a closer look at it? About this fallout shelter, Patrick. Have you finished digging yet? Poured any concrete?

I'd like a description of the first room we enter, and start seeing if the inside of the house matches the outside dimensions. Mayor Bradford enters the house. There's a den, with a sofa and two chairs facing a radio set. There's also a circular rug in the center, between the radio and the sofa. Next to the radio set is a fireplace. Moving along inside, there's a black and white tiled kitchen with a table set for four. There's a staircase leading upstairs as well. The dimensions all match perfectly. Hm, I'd still like to check out that fallout shelter. Could it have something to do with the tunnels? Chief Phelps inspects the fallout shelter. Since Patrick hasn't started digging yet, there's no way this could be connected to the tunnels. What is it with you people?!? I'd like to use the broom taken from the barn to tap the ceiling and see if there's anything up there. Tap what ceiling? The ceiling of the first floor? Your bedrooms are up there. Hmm... the house was circled on the map right? Or am I losing my mind? But since there is a bomb/fallout shelter being built here, what could they possibly be planning? Could the bomb/fallout shelter be described? I already have...It's not done yet, and there's a few pieces of wood and metal, as Patrick appears to be reading from a manual. "I don't get why you guys are so obsessed about the shelter. I already had one built, and the Town Hall is preparing to have one installed sometime next month." Mayor Bradford says. I believe James still has the piece of paper we found on the dead communist this morning. Might I take a closer look at it? About this fallout shelter, Patrick. Have you finished digging yet? Poured any concrete? The piece of paper is torn a bit, but there's still an O written on it. "I haven't started digging yet. Honestly, I'm thinking of having someone come in here and do it for me." Patrick says.
Captain Genaro Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Thank you for the water Mrs. Jefferson. Do you happen to have any tea to go with it? I seem to have left mine on the ship. I would like to look behind any paintings that I see. (not the wall, the back of the frame) Next, I would like to know if any ghost stories or legends surround the Jeffersons house. Finally, I would like to stay away from Stevie when rocks are with in arms reach.
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I will enter as well. I would like to check under the rug and then try the radio to see what station it's on.
JimBee Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Well, uh, maybe we can all pitch in and help tomorrow with the digging. If we're under a communist threat, we'll need a shelter to go in in case of a bomb. We also might, uh, find something down there.
Dragonator Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Matt is unceremoniously digging into the food. Don't mind me, carry on with what you're doing. This town sure has nice hospitality for a communist-infested hole.
iamded Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Hmm. I'm all for searching for clues, I mean, I love searching things. I'm just not entirely comfortable searching through someone's home, invading their privacy like this. However, no stone can be left unturned in our search for clues as to who the Communists are, so search I shall. I would like to peek inside the fire-place, careful not to dirty myself or my attire. I then would like to carefully search through the ashes for anything suspicious (again careful not to dirty my fine clothes ), then once that's done I'd like to wash my hands, get them nice and clean again. Woops, let me rephrase that in a more... italicised tone. I would like to peek inside the fire-place, careful not to dirty myself or my attire. Finally, I would like to stay away from Stevie when rocks are with in arms reach. Frankie peers behind a family portrait, but there's nothing there. There's no legends surrounding the Jefferson House, either. Frankie also stays a few feet away from Stevie at all times. I will enter as well. I would like to check under the rug and then try the radio to see what station it's on. James looks under the rug, but there's nothing there. He then turns on the radio, it's tuned to the news. Hmm. Will looks into the fireplace, careful not to disturb his attire. He moves the ashes around inside the fireplace, and finds a burnt piece of paper, that someone was blatantly trying to burn probably a few days ago. He then goes and washes his hands. It's near impossible to read the paper, however.
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I would like to search under the sofa and in the cushions for any incriminating evidence.
Walter Kovacs Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I'd like to hold the paper with the O on it up to the light, to see if anything is hidden on it (watermark, maybe?). I'd also like to hold it over a lightbulb (there's got to be a lamp around somewhere, right?) to see if there's any 'invisible ink'. When I'm done I'll hand the paper back to whoever had it. If there are any lamps, I'd like to lift them up and check underneath. I'll make sure to comment on Delores' dusting habits. I'll set them down nicely when done. It certainly is curious that someone was burning something recently. Can we get an idea on how big the burnt piece of paper was before it was burned? Similar to the size of the other notes found, bigger or smaller?
Fugazi Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Well, perhaps Mr or Mrs Jefferson could simply tell us what they've been burning in their fireplace recently, surely they must remember a note they threw in the fire not that long ago? In the mean time, I would like to look around for paper pads, notebooks or loose sheets that could be used to scribble down notes. If I find any, I would like to compare the shape and type of paper to the notes that we have gathered so far in an attempt to determine if any of those notes were written in this house.

Except if the note was incriminating in any way, I don't expect they'd tell us the truth, now would they? I'll go one better than that. If we do find a notepad, I'd like to see if there are any indentations on it from the sheet of paper that used to be on top. We might be able to find out what was written if there are.
iamded Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Burning notes in fireplaces? That's a rather suspicious thing to do. Care to explain?
The Legonater Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Tap what ceiling? The ceiling of the first floor? Your bedrooms are up there. Oops. You think I'd know my own house. Uh... do we have an attic?
