xwingyoda Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Indeed Dillon !! GO KOREA !! EDIT: GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL !! Tks Park *sweet* EDIT 2: and Zidane is suspended (like Abidal !!). So this may be Zidane's LAST game ever !! That would be a crappy good bye game :-/ France looks really screwed now EDIT 3: Looooool, France third with 2 points :-D !! Tks Domenech you stupid megablocker !! At least he is out lolol *sweet* with all the oldies X-D *yoda* Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Well, so far for France :-P Korea deserved a second goal...and Barthez made way to much mistakes to be the number 1 goalie... Quote
DoubleT Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Okay a Draw in the France Korea game, another open group... Will be fun to follow.... Quote
snefroe Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 hm... the french played like old retired superstars: no motivation, no will to fight and win... i think the french got it all wrong from the start. the trainer, for instance, didn't have any control over his stars Korea deserved a draw, but they're not great either... france should have won, though: 2-1. camera shots clearly show the ball crossed the line Quote
Vader Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Yes the ball was over the line and i was shocked that it wasnt given, still i expect france to bet togo and secure a place in the next round. Quote
xwingyoda Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 I hope NOT Vad but who knows !! That ball was clearly in but the side ref couldn't see it !! I really hope they will call video on those litigous actions that are sooo important (some offsides, red cards and goals). It will be fun to see how they will play WITHOUT Zidane !! Mentally more than technically (he was bad in both games !!). If France beats Togo Its not even sure they move to 1/8 !! I love those groups where everything can happen hehe !! *yoda* Quote
Sir Dillon Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Yoda, why do you dislike the French team so much? Quote
xwingyoda Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Dillon, I think I did put some reasons in that thread but I will try and give you an overview !! I totally dislike Raymond Domenech and his stupid decisions such as: * choice of players First, there is the Zidane case: he was a fabulous player but not anymore: he did 2 bad games !! Then Zidane clearly wanted the oldies to play with him (Wiltord, Thuram, Viera, Sylvestre don't have their place in the team !!). Barthez is bd and clearly should not be Goalie n1 !! Certain players were not selected (and should have !!): Giuli, Anelka and Pires (but Pires had sexual relations with Domenech's present woman so got excluded- the relations were BEFORE Domenech got with Estelle Denis). * type of game Back in 98 (where we had a fantastic team) only the rear was scoring !! But what rear we had !! Blanc, Desailly and we had a fantastic captain !! Zidane is not a good captain !! Since our rear is not fantastic, why not play with 2 front strickers ? Oh no, lets leave Henry alone !! yeat that will work perfectly !! BUT there is hope for the EURO 2008 !! All the oldies and Domenech should be out !! The new generation did great games: I really like Malouda, Riberi !! Thgere are loads of players to have a young and effective team !! All depending on who will replace Domenech !! (If its Zidane, oh boy we are screwed !!) That are some of the reasons I can think off at 1am :-P Hope that helped ;-) *yoda* Quote
Jipay Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Well, "why do you want France to lose ?" is a question you can only ask yourself when you're not living in France. Whereas in other countries, french football fans are mainly jerks. Then, football players are waayyy too much paid for what they give : for instance in 2002, before every match of our beloved national team, there were loads of adds featuring each player... And finally, I don't think that french people have the necessary humility to win anything :) Quote
snefroe Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 in terms of football, yesterday probably was the most boring day since the start of the cup. s-Korea - france wasn't really great; Brazil - Australia didn't do much for me either and the first game of the day... g... i can't even remember what that was... :'-( so i'm hoping for Spain to show at least just a little bit of magic tonight... The other games? Saudi arabia... Togo... Ukraine... hm... think i'll pass for the afternoon... if my addiction allows me to, that is... Quote
