Strike Me Down ...

Strike me down ... I am unarmed.

This is my take on the classic scene from Return of the Jedi where Luke unleashes his inner Sith on the Emperor.

Photoshop was used only for minor level changes. The lightsaber glow was achieved by a blue LED light, which induces a fluorescence effect on the green saber, and a domestic laser ("my laser") shone down the length of the red.

I checked out your other take on the scene too, and to be honest, I like the other one even more. If you were to use the other shot but photoshop out the reflection that would be an absolutely stunning shot.

None the less, this photo is still top notch. Well done!

This is an amazing shot Rufus, very effective and ingenious use of various lighting to approximate the lightsaber glow without resorting to photoshop. It's also nice to see your alternative shot, but I'm glad you chose this one since the floor reflection in the other photo was bit distracting to the overall scene. Impressive work and I wish you good luck in the contest!
