def Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 There are really a lot of great entries... Hard to decide. ACPin 1 point - I love the windows, and a great use of minifigures. Brickcitydepot 1 point - The Christmas colored detailing accents it perfectly. Cecile 1 point - Points for Santa's sleigh. Cutlass Iz 1 point - The candy shop is a great match with the toy shop. When I think of expanding the Winter Village, I like seeing holiday themed buildings, as opposed to town buildings at Christmas. Nice snowman too. Dix 1 point - Very tasteful. Lovely roof, and the hanging lights are great. Honorable mentions to Bricknave (great train), Jansued (great MOC, but not likely for future release by TLG ), Philocrites (nice nativity scene)
Blackicep8ntball Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Not gonna lie, this contest had many well-done entries. However, there were 5 that were, in my opinion, clearly great creations. Here they are, and here's why I like them: dix - Tram Station: 1 - Colorful, like the winter village sets, and comparably sized to the TLG winter sets. The Tram and bench are nice extensions of the set. kost u rlu - Train staion: 1 - wonderful colors, BEAUTIFUL building, and great train! nieks - The Tower: 1 - the Snowman tower is wonderfully clever and unique, and the building and figures are a great fit to for the winter theme as well. r66y - Schoolhouse: 1 - This is a scene I could easily see TLG producing: Great colors, schoolhouse fits perfectly with the TLG winter buildings, and nice extras with the carriage and playground. skalldyr - music shop: 1 - That footbridge drew me into this creation. The music shop idea is unique, and you did a nice job designing it. The little sleigh is a marvelous little build!
