Hi there!

So what did you do on New Year's Eve?

I, for one, shared most of the evening with my family. Then, I built some Lego and afterwards I was out for a short time. Short time because I noticed that going out on New Year's Eve is extremely lame, at least in my city. Firstly, there was (much to my surprise) absolutely nothing going on and those firecrackers and New Year rockets are hell. That noise is deafening! I have to admit, though, that some especially bright people putting pyrotechnic articles into rubbish bins and then running away were pretty amusing.

Now I'm watching a movie.

I'm looking forward to hearing your experience and wish you a happy new year!

Maybe building some Lego would be a viable option, Mr Lifetime?

Seems like I didn't consider the different time zones. Just reply tomorrow, all of you!

Greetings from Austria!

Well its still only 8:40 here, but so far I've built some LEGO, watched an all day Doctor Who marathon, and did a bit of python coding, and played laser tag. Good day I think.

Going to my aunt's house, but still underaged (19) so I can't drink. Nice to see drunk people talk though on this day.

Kinda upset to hear that the Lego store I was gonna go to for the first time ran out of S3 Minifigs, so I kinda sad. Said monday to check in but I have only tomorrow to visit...

Still 8 PM here, but right now we're making homemade pizza/Flammkuchen and I built the Golden Staff Guardians set.

Later I'll probably watch the New York NYE Times Square celebration. :classic:

I watched the CityTV New Years Bash and when that was over I switched to FOX to watch the New York City Bash.

BTW, champagne tastes like crap

Hm. This was probably my least eventful New Years Eve yet. I watched some of the Twilight Zone all day marathon (best show ever, by the way!), then I went to Walmart at about ten-ish. Finding nothing there except a Midi scale star destroyer for $16 dollars, but I still decided to pass. I went back home in time to see the moon pie drop (yeah, that's what we do for New Years in the south  ). I am now ringing in the New Year by continuing the Twilight Zone marathon.

Is City still showing Blade Runner after midnight? They did it for the 10 years I watched City.

I ate some sushi and then fell asleep a little early. But new years eve isn't a big deal here. New years day until Jan 3rd are the big days. So, the family went to the temple today to get a new years fortune. I got kichi, which is good luck this year, but not great luck.

After having people over for christmas, Pinky and i decided to have a quiet one to ourselves. We finished our loft 'Legoroom', watched Star Wars, ate fillet steak, ate chocolate sponge and ice cream, played with Lego. Watched the London fireworks on tv then went to bed

The whole family came at my house and we had a very nice dinner. After that me and my fiancée together with other close friends went out for a drink or two and at the end of our night (better, early morning) we had bougatsa.

A traditional New Year's Eve sweet pastry. It's one of the first things you traditionally have to eat when the new year arrives in order to have a sweet and happy year.

I didn't do anything special I was just putting in another bricklink order for the Britannia. Then I ate a sandwich and read a history book on Francis Drake.

I was in and still am in a Blizzard. I've been in my house since December 30th and have not left since. New years eve my wife and I watched Star Wars episode 5 and 6 and then we went to bed. At least we had power last night.

Nice one - but I hope there were Star Wars sets among them.

That snow's a trap! Sorry to hear that, though.

Which part of the States are you in? We have some friends snow trapped in New Jersey and couldn't return to Canada.

With the family while having a the most terrible runny nose in years, watching other people shoot their money into the sky with large poofs, lights and sound. (Fireworks, definitely not my thing)

Amen!

I just chilled with family and spoke with some freinds afterwards. I reckon London's fireworks were the best!

I stayed up until 1.30pm, and just managed to finish building my Turbo Tank before 12pm!

Hey prateek, I'm curious, where from Canada are you from?

Toronto.

Nope. I'm pretty sure they cancelled that show a few years ago.
