Sirens-of-Titan Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Technique, technique, technique! It's like a lesson in an art form! Wonderfully done, and very well thought-out! Quote

BMW Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Splendid diorama work. The detail and techniques are superb. But what I like the most are all the angles. -BMW Quote
Hartfan Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Love it. Great details. I really like the roof. Great creation ! Quote
pjurkovi Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 When I saw the first picture I thought that it was not LEGO but expensive model. Quote
buddy Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Excellent MOC! It is highly detailed. I too particularly like the way you have used flippers as roof tiles. Extremely well done. ~buddy~ Quote
Syn Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 this is pure art right here, the amount of detail is astounding! I love the snow, really love the snow. and the roof man that was so original. I only have one question, Do I want to know why you have that many Flippers laying around......? Quote
SlyOwl Posted January 5, 2011 Author Posted January 5, 2011 Thanks again everyone Here's a photo of how the wall works, in case it wasn't clear enough: Do I want to know why you have that many Flippers laying around......? I bought them a couple of years back specifically for the roof technique - at around 2c each, it was one of the best $5 I've ever spent! Quote
kris kelvin Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Masterpiece as always but you probably know it Quote

Barberini Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Wow SlyOwl What an incredible attention to details! everything From the paches of snow on the roof, til the black wick in the candle nothing in this scene is overlooked I'm totally gobsmacked! Happy Bricking BR Barberini Argh (an Aspiring Pirate) Quote
Commander Laquiet Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 How on earth did I conspire to miss this back in January?! It is brilliant, as usual. This is a higher class of building, where you, once again as usual, demonstrate how the most simple brick can be manipulated to create a wonderful effect, like that wall. The whole thing is a piece of art. (sorry if I've just reiterated everyone else's views ) This is classic MOC in my books. Just like Tortuga and Cheddar Gorge. They all are an inspiration to any builder. Quote
