Pate-keetongu Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Here's my newest MOC, Meta Ridley from Metroid game series: Back: Close-up of the head: The MOC is based on this enemy character: As you see, the wings don't have skins, but the wings burnt in Metroid Prime I and become more skeletal. Also, they would be very hard to MOC. I didn't want to use LEGO's big dragon wings. Comments and critics welcome. Quote
ZORK64 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 The tip of his tail looks kinda odd, but besides of this, he looks pretty cool. Quote
Aethersprite Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) Very nice! I love the head. I agree that the tip of the tail looks weird, and the wings would look much better with a cloth of some sort. Otherwise, great job. EDIT: Just realized the creative use of the Visorak spinner threads for the wings! Ingenius! Edited January 5, 2011 by Lockon Stratos Quote
zero1312 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) I love it!!!! You captured the look perfectly, but I would've used these parts for the tail: Edited January 5, 2011 by zero1312 Quote
shadowreaperx Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 If you really want to impress ME, then make a Majora's Wrath MOC because METROID...DOSEN'T...MATTER!!! Anyways, nice MOC, and I do believe you made it pretty close to the actual character. Coincidentally...I got in an argument today that Zelda games were better, and that he shouldn't waste his time modding in Metroid enemies into MineCraft, and then I see...what else? Meta Ridley from Metroid: Prime. Quote
Brickthing Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Seeing as you posted this a while ago, are you still interested in criticism for it? I must say though that this is a fantastic MOC, both as a recreation of an existing character and in its own right. Quote
PhillipCD Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Great MOC! The whole thing is really cool, especially the body and head! Quote
Roodaksta Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 It's nice how many user's are challenging themselves more by trying to create Bionicle models from a character of a picure, Nice model indeed. Though my only concern is the tail. As Zero1312 said I would have also used those pieces as well. But I have to say it's still a marvelous model. The face is the part that stands out the most. The way you shaped it is nice as well. Quote

Still that's alright since you did blow them off during the fight in Prime 1. Quote

Meta Ridley from Metroid: Prime. What is it w/ people and the LoZ games. Seriously, I just don't see what others do in them. Even the plot evades me. And if Zelda's been rescued I don't see the point in more. If not, then by all means keep playing. Having played a few myself I can honestly say that I prefer the Metroid series. Meta Ridley could throw Link off the entire map if he wanted. Awesome MOC! Edited May 31, 2011 by Jetrax99 Quote
perplexingArticulator Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) This is a great rendition of something of a legendary gaming antagonist, especially when one considers his seeming unMOCability; I've tried and failed to do a Meta Ridley before, so that's part of why I'm so impressed. I'm particularly absolutely in love with the torso work. My sole gripe with this is its tail 'arrow', in that its size and blockiness isn't doing the MOC many favours; I'm thinking a combination of Visorak feet and Bohrok 'eyes', both in silver, could do the trick as an alternative with a bit of work, but what do I know? Also, maybe his shins could do with some rounding out on their front? Edited June 2, 2011 by perplexingArticulator Quote
