lisqr Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) It's too late and too expensive for me to collect all 5 modular buildings now. So my solution... This is the expended version of my LDD contest entry from a while ago. I finally finished the whole street. The beginning CC GG FB GE LDD draft My Flickr page By some people's request, here is the LDD file. Some pieces aren't the same as my real version, due to color limitation. Thanks for watching. buddy Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Excellent MOC! The concept of microscale modular buildings is great and you have executed yours very well. They are all very accurate and detailed for their size. I may have to have a go at microscale modular buildings my self now! Extremely well done. ~buddy~ Quote
Pinky Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Inspiring work, Going to have to give that a try Keep up the good work Pinks Quote
Modulex Guy Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Those are absolutely adorable! :3 Great work! Those make for a nice mini shelf display when there is no room for the big boys, or a great little display for the office desk. Quote
metalgearsolid Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I just had to blog about these little lovelies... Link Really fantastic work. I would love to have a set of these next to their 'big bros'. Thanks for sharing! Quote
NovaStar Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Pure awesomeness! Great idea! Would lve to do something like that for my desk at work! Quote
Juppy Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Great work! How much does it cost? LDD is the software where you can design and purchase the bricks from lego right? Quote
amity498 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 The micro's really made me smile. Great work lisqr Quote
lisqr Posted January 5, 2011 Author Posted January 5, 2011 Great work! How much does it cost? LDD is the software where you can design and purchase the bricks from lego right? I don't know how much it'll cost. Universe mode let you use pieces that are not available to LDD. I used pieces mostly from my collection plus one small bricklink order. But I can tell you that it has ~1500 pieces. I think it'll be <$100 if you get the pieces from bricklink. The most common piece i used is 1x1 plate. Quote
Zorbas Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Creativity at its best! Well done lisqr, fantastic job. I stepped away from my screen, half closing my eyes and the micro buildings looked almost like the actual modulars. Great! Quote
The Player Nº1 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Excellent. I've smile when I saw the image. Regards Quote
Philocrites Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 These are wonderful. I love the inclusion of a red brick on back roof deck of the Green Grocer for the grill. Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Awesome MOC lisqr , especially as I dont have any of the modular sets and this is a great alternative. They are very accurate as well. Thanks, CB Quote

mahon881 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 This is great how you captured every detail from the real sets and put it in! Good work! Keep on micro-bricking! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Aww, they're all so...cute! It's very impressive how you were able to achieve such level of detail and accuracy for such small-scale builds. I agree that this is creativity and resourcefulness at its best! Simply an amazing work lisqr! Quote
prateek Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Excellent job! The only problem I can find is that the GG is the wrong colour Quote
streifen Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 great MOC there... will look good next to/in front of their big brothers!! Quote
Cecilie Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Excellent work, and a very cute display . Now you just need the Tower Bridge to go with it, should fit the scale of those cars pretty well . Although it might look too big next to those cute buildings Quote
neosmosis Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 these are awesome, love all the detail that was implemented in them while maintaining such a small scale Quote
wtfbbq Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Awesome work! I kept looking from my screen to my modulars to admire the details you squeezed in! Quote
