On a ship do not use shako's! These are meant for infantry soldiers and soldiers defending a fortress.

Look at sets 6274 and 6271 for instance. Only (admiral) bicornes for the higher ranked officers and tricornes for the sailors. You could use black top hats for the lowest ranked men and the workers / cannoneers on the ship.

At least, that is what I would suggest.

And if you are running out of tricornes, I would rather use the blue pirate rag wrap or a hairpiece on a ship instead of shako's.

Why thank you kind sir! Much cheaper than the $125 one on Bricklink. But not as cheap as the $15 one in my own region that I let come and go due to stupidity! The postage from the USA is going to cost around $20.
