March 20, 201113 yr Author Hey my friends it's time for an update. The crawler is about 15 kg, whey heavier then expected. I still have problems with my gears, I have already a solution, but again the parts are missing. the motors are working surprisingly well as you will see in the short video. It's kind an overview of my work of the last 4 months. So enjoy! klick
March 21, 201113 yr That's going to be a very impressive beast when finished. Can't wait to see it completed
March 21, 201113 yr LIghted interior! Great job again, marshall_banana. Simply can't wait to see it finished now. Did you purposely only give us such a short glimpse of the final test just to tease us?
March 21, 201113 yr Excellent work good to see it will move!but does it steer ok still? Do you have everything running off of to battery boxes? still need better photo's can't make out details in the video.

As I sad, I still have some mechanical problems. For the moment I can't steer but I' m going to use new axles with stopper and some bigger wheels and then It should be working again It's running by three battery boxes. Two for the driving mechanism and steering and one for lights, ramp, crane... Sure better pictures will follow, as I'm finished with the model.

March 21, 201113 yr Loooove the music. I never knew Sandcrawler could be that laid back This is one huge brown pile of junk blogged
March 25, 201113 yr Author Still work in progress, but you get an idea how it will be looking when it's finished Things to do: -boarding ramp -crane -details on the crawlers -stronger gear boxes -the roof -main hatch interior -cockpit lighting and interior -adjusting some details So that's a lot Quote Loooove the music. Probably the better version: sinatra I'm a big fan of the tv-serie mad men, and addicted to laid back songs like these
March 25, 201113 yr Both stunning and beautiful  I love the studs-out dark orange plates that give the rusted area a little more texture - great attention to detail there (and everywhere else for that matter). I want one.
March 25, 201113 yr Amazing, truly a work of art marshal_banana! Even if it's still not completely finished, it already looks fantastic. It'd be interesting to see jawa minfigs and droids beside this just to realize the massiveness of this sandcrawler.
March 25, 201113 yr there is only a such little shovel on the side if they're stuck in the sand ?! ...

March 25, 201113 yr Beautiful work, marshal_banana! The brown greebles on the back look great, and I think you've got just the right amount of rust and light grey on the sides. March 25, 201113 yr Author Yes they do. But as I sad it's still a wip. That's why I wrote that I will redesign the crawlers.

March 30, 201113 yr Impressive - most impressive ! It looks so good, the detail and size makes it look like it´s a moulded plastic model that are then painted. Great job, I´m looking forward to see the finished one making the quarter mile in sub 6 seconds !
