spacepilot3000 Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Hi Eurobricks! ... a little bit of soldering ... ... and a little bit crafting... and then: "Back away! I will deal with this Jedi slime myself!" *Swuush* Quote
KimT Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Wow, that's really cool Blogged on EurobricksStarWarsForum.com Quote
The_Customizer Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Yeah, that is AWESOME! I love the glow in the dark stuff! I think Lego should start making more glowing things. I mean, Exo-Force had "Glow Bricks" why can't Star Wars? Quote
spacepilot3000 Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) Thanks for blogging that! The glowing effect is made with AAA batteries, inverter, and EL-cable. Edited January 8, 2011 by spacepilot3000 Quote
StoutFiles Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Thanks for blogging that! The glowing effect is made with AAA batteries, inverter, and EL-cable. Looks good, but what does it look like with the lights on? Quote
Corvus Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Ooh, shiny. Looks good, but what does it look like with the lights on? Good question. Are the cables hidden, or do they stick out? Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Wow that is cool! I love it when people MOD lightsabers so they light up. Very nice presentation and great work! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Nice job, spacepilot3000! Just what the UCS Grievous needed. Just not sure if *swoosh* is a good lightsaber effect. I'm partial to the *snap-hiss* from the Thrawn Trilogy days. Quote
spacepilot3000 Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 The cables all are hidden "behind" the Lego Technic Parts of the Generals arms and legs, and within his body. Nothing ist sticking out. Only if you look from the back you can see cable parts on arms and legs because I haven't drilled the Lego Technik parts. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Ooh, very cool real lighting lightsabers, great work! Just don't let the UCS GG go near a jedi, as he's known to lose those arms and lightsabers quickly. Quote
Ceroknight Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 ho nice! A fantastic effect! I should try something like that on my Technic Darth Vader Quote
Flare Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Really epic. Incredible work! I can't find the wires so you must be a pro I blogged it as well Quote
BrickArtist Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Woah! This is genius! Fantastic job on this, Will we see a pic of it with the lights on? Quote
prateek Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Excellent lighting job! The lights really make it look like a true action figure/SW statue you'd buy for $250 at some hobby shop. Great work Quote
KotZ Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Wow, that's cool! Which figure is next? Some more pics would be great. Quote
Solscud007 Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Just fantastic. I really couldnt tell it was lego until I saw the close up pics. Quote
