Thank you for dropping by EB to share your final product drakmin! I must say that really is a great technic SW MOC considering this is your first build in 15 long years. I really think this is a great model, understandably working on a Technic platform will of course compromise some accuracies but I see that you did the best you could with your available parts and the final product is simply beautiful. Impressive work and hope to see more creations from you in the future!

As for blueprints, I've found that they're usually quite inaccurate (as everyone has their own interpretation of what they perceive the studio model to look like)

No no, I have the blueprints used for construction done by ILM. I'm not sure which ones are for the life size and which are for the studio models, but PM me if you (drakmin) still want them.

No need, I'll link 'em:

I set these photos to private on flickr, though. Anyways, you should be able to see the source files:

Construction Blueprints

Cockpit Details

Special Effects and Camera Setup

Cutaway views and thumbnails of Studio Model

Unfortunately, I don't have access to a scanner, so these are just photos.

Yes, we're generally very friendly at Eurobricks - just remember that all Clone Wars vs. Original Trilogy comments belong in the appropriate thread by brickartist. :classic:

Just so you know, those blueprints are for the full-scale model (the ones with Luke and Dack climbing into the cockpit), not the 21" miniatures (the ones that fly around the AT-ATs). The two differ greatly in shape, the most prominent difference being the angle at which the wings hang down.

I'm looking forward to seeing your unique take on the T-47 (which I hope will be done larger than minifigure scale like your X-wing). Don't think I'll be so soft on your MOC next time, though - after seeing what you're capable of doing with Technic, I won't expect dimensional inaccuracies to be an issue.

Can't wait to see what else you've been doing.
