What? The Unimog is avaibile in Germany? :oh: Sure? I'm staying in Munich for two weeks... So, are you sure that is still avaibile in Munich?? And What is the price? :sweet:

Good luck, unless you stay till August! Since LEGO pulled it off the shelf again unfortunately you need veeeryyy much charme to convince them to sell you one. I tried all my charme this morning, but in vain.

She would not let me have one, even they still have them behind the counter, but the sets are due to be returned. :hmpf:

Price is 189,99 EUR according to the catalogue.

I guess on the one hand side it is the faulty part as reported on technicbricks and another issue might be the box which says 2 PF-M although there is only one inside! So the box might get potentially a collectors item :-) Curious if they change the box as well.

I bought mine in June 26th in the "Riem Arcaden" Lego Flagship Store. See my pictures here. It costs 189,99EUR.

I don't know, if it is still available. But maybe you just call the store and ask: +49 / 89/ 94 53 99 69.

Gerhard

Building instruction available on LEGO.com

Thanks, JunkstyleGio, for alerting folks to the downloadable PDF Building Instructions for the 8110 Unimog U400 set! :classic:

Could those AFOLs who already own this set review these online Building Instructions, to confirm whether there are any redesigned parts (or new construction details) to correct the pneumatic compressor pump problem?

Edited by DLuders

It seems there is no difference between my model and this instruction.

I think the problem com from inside the compressor. :)

Even the error with the meter on page 32 (step84, booklet 2) is the same. The meter starts between 2 and 3cm.

Regards,

Gerhard

Out of interest dose the crane when mounted on front reach over the cab ?

I've taken the liberty of making my own video on the 8110. Perhaps it has answers some of you were looking for:

Can't get enough of the unimog.

With the building instructions and this movie it becomes clearer and clearer to me how to operate all those functions.

I want see motorized U400: drive, steering all controled IR ??! ;)

I also would like to see a fully r/c version,it looks like it has all the room for more motors and rc gear,

Also did anyone hear back from lego on what the problem was with the pump and has the 1st of aug been delayed for the shops?

"The pre-launch of the 8110 LEGO® Technic Unimog U400 in LEGO Brand Stores and LEGO shop has been postponed.

The reason for the decision to postpone the pre-launch, is that the LEGO Group’s quality department has found that a pneumatic cylinder included in the set does not live up to the LEGO Group quality demands, as there is a risk of the cylinder leaking air. Since the LEGO Group wants to ensure a high quality in all products as well as a great play experience, it has been decided to replace the pneumatic cylinder in all new sets.

The launch in retail-stores will remain August 1st.

There is only a very minimal probability that consumers, who have already purchased an 8110 LEGO Technic Unimog U400, will experience difficulties with the pneumatic system."

Yes I seen that post but thats 8 days old , just wondering anything since.

When i called up my local lego retail shop in London, the person i spoke with said it wouldn't be coming in to the store till 1st of Sept. that was on friday 15th july.

Only a few weeks to go until it's released!

Since the TLG and MB team up to produce the #8110 Unimog, I have these questions bothering me for a while.

1. Will there be a special edition of #8110 like #8461 BMW Williams F1

2. How and in what way it is special to MB version (Pin, Keyring, and Lanyard, etc)

3. What is the distribution channel

4. How much it will cost for the this special MB version

5. Do I need to buy a MB vechile in order to get this special version

I hope somebody can answer these questions before the regular #8110 for sell so I can decide which version to buy.

By answering the first of your questions with a NO all the other questions are pointless!

I'm very lost, who said anything about a special edition model,it's special enough as it's licenced by mercedes anyway.

It is okay for me not to spend extra money to buy this "Special MB Version" with different Box, Stickers, etc.

But if MB had an artical on their internal maganine to talk about the evolution of LEGO #8110, I wonder if this LEGO set is just a licenced set.

MB might have some agreements with LEGO to produce "special version" for MB employees considering LEGO is so popular in Europe especially in German.
