Some people might like the CW, Though I don't like IT ALL, they are good point to it. On another note I disbelieve they are huge inconsistencies in SW stories, only minor inconsistencies between the 14 parts I like to think of as SW canon. Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones Star Wars: Clone Wars Star Wars: The Clone Wars Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II Star Wars: Droids Star Wars: Dark Times (Untitled Live-action series) Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope Star Wars: The Holiday Special (parts of it anyway) Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back Star Wars: Ewoks Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi As far as I am concerned any other part of the EU is an alternate universe to this explaining away all inconsistencies. Other authors may have a better idea than GL but In my opinion only these 14 works will tell the whole story. I don't like all of these i.e. CW, Ewoks, and Droids could be improved quite a lot, and some EU work is really good i.e.Rebublic and Imperial Commandos. Disclaimer: This is all my opinion, not gospel truth. I like how you call the untitled TV series the "Dark Times", that's what I've been calling it. Quote

It was originally but I took it off for 2 reasons, 1- I read somewhere (Think Wookipedia) that GL no longer considers it canon, and 2- because you can't watch it. However I think unless something contradicts any of the works on this list it could be classed as canon. This is still only my opinion. Edit:Punctuation corrections. Even the Holiday Special is Better than the prequels, and, for that matter, it's better than the special editions too. Bring back the original theatrical cut Disney, Please... And now for something, completely different on a brighter note, the clone wars and Rebels are actually pretty good. Okay the CGI isnt great now but at the time they were cutting edge and without them paving the way how might the Force Awakens look? Writing is not the best but the story was awesome. They did more to expand SW positively then they did to bring it down I think and thats whats important. Just because the prequels are bad doesnt mean people will suddenly hate the OT. Quote

RetroInferno Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 I like the story of how the Emperor's reign came to be, creating a "fake" conflict to attain greater power, it's a great concept. What I dislike most about the PT is the dialogue, the over abundant CGI and lazy directing. Phantom would have been good if anakin would have been able to pull an act together and be more of a side character and removing Jar Jar completly. Attack of the clones.... Could be okay if the dialogue wasn't absolute garbage. Revenge had some nice moments, every scene with Palpatine was good and order 66 scenes were well executed. They are decent but flawed products IMO. Quote
