Belet Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Hi everyone! A few weeks ago I struggled with my real Lego parts to create a rather small sloop (which can be seen here), but I was not completely satisfied with the basic hull that resulted of my lack in classic hull pieces. Therefore I tried to come up with a decent hull design in LDDthat could be used in the building of small and fast ships like schooners or even smaller brigs. Here is a picture of the cross-section in the middle of working : Another view : Close-up on the bow : An overall view : A bird's eye view : And finally, a close-up on the stern with the attachment parts for the future rudder : Thanks for reading, comments and feedback welcome! dr jones Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I love the hull design, can I borrow it? Quote
Belet Posted January 20, 2011 Author Posted January 20, 2011 I love the hull design, can I borrow it? That would be with pleasure of course. However, I'm working on a few improvements right now, to give this hull a better vertical curving, and, more importantly, to get rid of the ugly SNOT at the bow. So if you can wait for a few moments I should be able to give you a better, more realistic design. Anyway, feel free to PM me with your e-mail adress so I can mail the LDD file to you. Thanks for reading! Quote

Sir E Fullner Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 It looks very nice. I'd like to see that hull on a gunship. Quote

The only difference being that the pointy black part at the bow has been moved a few studs higher and made white. Otherwise it's exactly the same hull. Quote
