CMP Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 So the truth comes out. Of course, I thought it'd be some sort of crazy genocide, so this isn't as bad. But it still is bad. So, one of our firefighters seems to have known about this Project Wolf, is Jessica is so casual in telling him about it. Not very secretive I don't think. A USSR flag? That's interesting. I suppose the note from before is referring to the communists, if they did stuff a flag up there. I'd like to ask Captain Garrison if he could post some watchmen on the roof. Alright, this place has been pretty thoroughly investigated, I think. I suppose Nurse Parker's house would be fine.
Peanuts Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Are those communists already bringing the flags for an invasion? No, seriously, it's highly suspicious. It might be that Brandon or Jesssica or Brenda are related to the USSR spies. And if the government has started evacuations long before, why did they wait to send an investigator until 9 days ago? Washington should have sent Matt some weeks ago. Well, back to the flag. Could it be seen from different angles, like the streets, the air or neightbour buildings? Which buildings are near to the Firehouse? It's possible that it was used to give a sign, maybe the commies wanted to be extracted when they heard of X-K2P. This would explain the shots we heard of. Is it possible to go to the secret faculty, or will the national guard shoot us? Can we go with a group of them, or maybe just send down some of them down there to investigate? Or will they just stand around and make sure we can't escape when the commies come to kill us?
Fugazi Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 I suppose we should take this ugly flag with us, it may be needed as evidence when someone cares to investigate into Brenda's assault. Otherwise, I agree there's not much more we can do here, and I'm ready to follow to wherever seems like a logical next step to all of you. I'm pretty much out of ideas.
The Legonater Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 I'd like to agree on heading to Nurse Parker's house, and then go down the flag pole
Bob Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 The note says Jessica was working on this Project Wolf, so it stands to reason that none of us know or remember her. The members of that project probably have kept a low profile to avoid exposing the operation. It begs the question on how Brandon knew her at all, though. If Project Wolf is getting shut down, and information on the project is what the commies are after, why would the government need to enact X-K2P at all? The note says it's getting shut down in a few weeks, and here we are 18 days later. Is Wolf even in operation anymore? Gah, this is frustrating. We don't even know if what we've learned so far is valid, or we are on the wrong track with our votes against Ryan. God, I hope we were right. I'm going to return to the first floor (via the stairs; I don't trust that fireman's pole) and think about where to go next. Anyone have any ideas? Project Wolf is still in operation. But if everyone knew who Brandon was, why wouldn't we know who his love was. She had to be around some time to be around Brandon. As far as where we should check next, I say since Nurse Parker is the only one to have worked at the hospital and we think that's where the facility might be, we might find it helpful to search her residence. I would like to scan the flag for any secret messages hidden on it. There's no hidden messages. I'd like to ask Captain Garrison if he could post some watchmen on the roof. "Okay." Garrison says. Are those communists already bringing the flags for an invasion? No, seriously, it's highly suspicious. It might be that Brandon or Jesssica or Brenda are related to the USSR spies. Or will they just stand around and make sure we can't escape when the commies come to kill us? It is only visible from the roof of the Fire Department. "We just determined there were communists here 5 days ago. We informed local officials and dispatched Inspector Liebenston and myself. It's only been five days, you know." I'd like to agree on heading to Nurse Parker's house, and then go down the flag pole "Wheeee!" Stevie says gleefully as he slides down the pole.
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Congressman, is it possible for you to get us an update on Brenda or should I talk to one of the national guard? I've got to know that she's okay. I would like a description of Parker's residence whenever we get there.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 "Alright, alright!" the congressman starts. "I cannot comment on what Project Wolf is, but I can comment on what X-K2P is."Someone from the crowd sends him a glare. "The time for secrecy is over. They're going to find out anyway because by now it's too late to stop it. X-K2P will take all of you, the citizens of Alabatha, and send you to an uncharted island military base. For life. The only way you could possibly stop it is by rooting out the communists." "What about our constitutional rights?" someone asks. "This is being done in secrecy. We've told the public that there was a problem at the power plant, and we've had to quarantine the population of Alabatha. Then President Truman declared martial law on Alabatha. We technically have the right to imprison you for as long as we possibly want." "There's been other communist investigations and searches! Why hasn't this X-K2P ever been used before!" someone else asks. "Well, first of all, you wouldn't know if it has been used before. Here's a hint though, it hasn't. Plus, there's never been a communist investigation in a town that sits directly next to an underground top secret military instillation." What the crap? I thought martial law was only temporary? And now for our constitutional rights: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense. The public must hear of this, this is unconstitutional and the accuser must have proof against the defendant. You must provide proof against all of us. The definition of "treason": ...is any act, writing, speech, etc., directed unlawfully against state authority, the government, or constitution... You have no right to put us in prison on an island without trial. Give me liberty or give me death! Now, let's hurry and find evidence in this hospital.
Captain Genaro Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 It is only visible from the roof of the Fire Department. Hmm, a flag that can only be seen from the roof. I would be willing to bet that this flag is some sort of signal or it holds a hidden message You have no right to put us in prison on an island without trial. Oh, don't worry Captain, it would not be the first time the government imprisoned a large group of citizens! They follow laws only when it fits their agenda.
Admiral Ron Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Now people, let us just calm down and go to the Parker residence, hopefully we will find something.
The Crazy One Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Sure, I'll take you to my place when everyones ready. I would like a little respect when searching but I'll allow full access considering the crcumstances.
Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Now people, let us just calm down and go to the Parker residence, hopefully we will find something. Yeah, let's go! But don't you tell me to calm down when I'm going to put on a deserted island for the rest of my life with no proof of guilt anywhere!!!
def Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 There's just been too much for me to take in these past few days. Nearly being taken away from my family, now being in danger of locked away for the rest of our lives! It seems that you all have done a complete inspection of the firehouse, so I concur, let's visit the Parker's house.
Bob Posted January 28, 2011 Author Posted January 28, 2011 "All of you calm down. You can't blame me, or the President, or the Congress. You can blame General Stanley for this." "Is that how you feel, Congressman?" a voice asks. A short silence follows, the sound of feet ascending the stairs stifles the silence. It's General Stanley. He pulls the Congressman aside, and they begin to speak. Quietly at first, but then their argument intensifies. "You are so far out of line right now. Telling them what X-K2P is, that's highly classified. I should have you arrested for treason." "But you can't." The Congressman retorts back. "Because that would attract unwanted attention to your base here." "You forget the entire reason that Alabatha was chosen. It has a population of fifty people, it's remote, it's quiet, and it's by the hills and seaside. Fifty people are a lot easier to get rid of then say, a thousand." "Get rid of? Alvin, do you hear yourself? These are American citizens, they fund your operations. They're probably paying for this without even knowing it." "And yet, there's Soviet spies among them. It's quite amusing to hear them quote the Constitution when almost everything they've done here has violated the Constitution. They've violated the fourth amendment, the sixth amendment, and the eighth amendment. I didn't see Chief Phelps granted a speedy trial by his peers." "That's irrelevant. It was your idea." "I didn't hear them complaining when they bid farewell to their former police chief." "What's your point?" "My point is that we have an interest to protect our National Security. If the Soviets find out what we're doing here in Alabatha, then we're not one step ahead of them anymore. We're protecting our National Security here by protecting what's happening down there in Project Wolf." General Stanley says. Stanley turns and departs. Congressman, is it possible for you to get us an update on Brenda or should I talk to one of the national guard? I've got to know that she's okay. I would like a description of Parker's residence whenever we get there. "I'll find out for you on the way to the Parker Residence." The congressman says. The group leaves the firehouse for the Parker House.
Fugazi Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 So still no news from Washington about Chief Phelps' inquiry. I'm not surprised though, he was only taken away last night. Let's hope that we're on the right track here. There's something strange about that Russian flag up there on the Fire Station. It was clearly meant as a sign, but what kind of sign? Was it meant to be unfurled as a signal for a ship or a submarine to come in and pick up the commies, after they have gathered all the information they need? Unless they have other means of communication that we haven't discovered already. I wonder if Project Wolf is in any way related to the sea. Maybe isolation wasn't the only reason why Alabatha was chosen as an operation base. I wonder if we should go back to the tunnel and try again to pry open that hidden entrance to the bunker. After we visit the Parker house, of course.

Maybe the commies came more often than once up here, and this is a sign to a second spy. Or one of the firefighter has been a sleeper, and the flag on the roof of the fire house was the "awakening" signal.

Though I'm not sure I believe that the flag can only be seen from the roof. The way it was hidden it's likely that the flag couldn't be seen from the street or the sea, but what about once unfurled? Perhaps the way the question was asked and answered was a bit confusing.
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 "I'll find out for you on the way to the Parker Residence." The congressman says. Thanks, congressman. I'm just so worried. So is Stanley in charge of the facility or Project Wolf in general?
Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 "And yet, there's Soviet spies among them. Speedy trial, maybe not, but how can there be a public, speedy trial without anyone knowing? You can not hold us without proof! So if there is a spy in the government, does that mean we arrest congress, senate and president? You need proof for the billionth time!
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 How 'bout instead of complaining and professing your innocence, you actually help us try an' get outta this mess, Captain. You could argue till ya turn blue, I don't think they're gonna let ya walk outta here until we catch us some commies.
Admiral Ron Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 When we get there, I would like the Parker residence described for me
Bob Posted January 29, 2011 Author Posted January 29, 2011 Sorry for the delay. A medic rushes up to the group. "She's just entered surgery now. She should be fine." he reports. The group arrives at the Parker Residence. There's only one floor. "Feel free to look around." Nurse Parker says.
The Legonater Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Sorry for the delay. I wonder what this cryptic message could mean? Anyways- I agree with sis, let's have a description.
Peanuts Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Nice home you have, Nurse Parker. I'd like to look in the garden for something unusal, suspicious or communist.
Walter Kovacs Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 I will look around the bush, looking for footprints or anything else that might catch my eye.
Mrlegoninja Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Is the roof slanted or flat? I also would like a description of the house.
