Well I'm not a real Historic Theme collector, Im on classic city. But recently, had the choice between the Fort legoredo and the yellow castle, and I went for the yellow castle, altough being a bit more expensive and without box, but that one is a classic and Fort LEgoredo will get a classic some day.

I ordered doubles of all the new Hobbit sets with the current TRU BOGO 50% off deal, so basically got them all for 25% off since TRU actually had them for MSRP. Also got 6 of the MEA set and... 60 Lake-town Guard polybag the day before when they were still in stock

Coupons that make sense are a rare thing in Germany, so if they are available one better makes good use of them.

I have just ordered 2 MEAs for 28 Euro each including shipping. Mytoys.de offers 10 Euro discount plus 5 if you accept the newsletter. I made accounts for my wife and me, so I got 2 MEAs for 28 each.

I picked up 2 mirkwood spiders (or whatever its called) for 50% at Target months ago while its still regular price at Meijer.

Just ordered myself lego Tower of Orthanc as an Xmas Present. I was between one more Technic 4x4 Crawler and the Tower. Decided to break my current 4x4 and get myself Tower. :D

Last week I made the "mistake" of wandering into TRU and walked out with 6 smaller sets for 50% off. Plus I picked up 5 TMNT polybags at Target the same day.

Saturday my dad's present arrived from LEGO.com (10026 Sopwith Camel), along with the LOTR Mirkwood Elf Army set I ordered with it. If I had just waited, I could've gotten it for 6 bucks cheaper through work (20% off all LEGO, all the time, which can be dangerous...), but alas. Of course, we just discounted a lot of the sets I have bought through work, so I'll have to put in an order on Wednesday for some of the small sets I've already purchased several times. Can't pass up cheap parts for even less than before, but we could also be out of stock by the time I get back to work this week. Might be a blessing in disguise.

I really need to get more organized and put up a for sale post in the proper forum, which actually would be handy for listing on eBay as well. But it's so much more fun buying, isn't it?

Hey does anyone know if they stopped producing the Tower of Orthanc? The price on amazon skyrocketed to $300 USD and it went up $30 on TRU. Didn't know if this is just the holiday rush or if I should pick it up now before it gets even more expensive.
