VintageLegoEra Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Cool. Gratz! One of the greatest vintage sets imho! And I told myself few weeks ago no more Lego buying till new year and... made 4 new orders on bricklink. True th e 3 castles from the classic Era: 6080, 6085 and 6074/10039 are the best Castles made by Lego up-to-date. looooooooll...this isthe case with Addiction....my self bought also: - 6085, 6040, 6041, 6042, 6060 and 6059...lool.. :) Quote
jjmajava Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 I just almost accidentally managed to buy SEALED 6067, Guarded Inn from 1986. That's worth.. a lot, I guess? I have really no idea how much. The prices at eBay are ludicrous but no one is bidding on them, so the set can't really be worth something like 600 €, right? Quote

legofreak86 Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) Picked up 3 of the older sets of The Hobbit I was missing from Brick 2014 last sunday. The Goblin King Battle, Unexpected Gathering and The Barrel escape. Only missing Lonely Mountain, Laketown Chase, Battle of The Five Armies and Laketown attack now. Most of those Christmas should take care of bar the older Lake town set which I currently am searching for a good price to spend on it. I really like the Hobbit AUJ wave, the sets are terrific and the figures are brilliant. Plus now I have all 13 dwarves! Plus all of the AUJ setslook nice on display and are playable and based on the first 2 movies. The second wave was decent and I liked the dol guldur and I think laketown looks good but there weren't enough sets for the 2nd movie in my opinion. The 3rd wave is pretty cool by the looks of it.Shame about the lack of Bolg, Thranduil, armoured Azog. I do wish that the legolas had been based on his casual dos look with the silver arms. Blakstone Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Shiny. I got the CMF Pharaoh from Bricklink in time to oversea the Egyptian Warriors I will amass in the next series. After all, I need a worthy army for my Romans. Recently I got the last Lake Town set. I still need the two biggest Hobbit sets from the last wave to complete my Middle Earth collection. Quote
Laphroag Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Mines of Moria at 40% off retail price. An online toy store was probably clearing out old sets before the holidays. Quote

Batsy Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Got myself The Unexpected Gathering on clearance and after I could not resist to build it. Very beautiful and even worth the full price, now spending the whole evening looking at it from different angles :D Quote
Balbo Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I bought another Witchking battle set yesterday Quote
BrickSev Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I bought another Witchking battle set yesterday It's a very nice set. The only problem: it's difficult to put hair pieces over those mantles and after you did it's uneasy to turn their heads. I'm thinking about removing the Elves' mantles for that very reason. Overall I like that set Quote
