Recently got Mixels sets 41509 Slumbo and 41515 Kraw. There's a neat secondhand bookstore near me that sells Mixels from Series 2 to 4 for only a dollar more than list price, so I decided to snag a couple of the older ones up.

Do you plan to use them in some historic/Fantasy setting or just using their parts for some MOC? I heard they come with very interesting parts, especially their joints :classic:

I finally got around to picking up the last Hobbit wave after waiting several months for a decent sale to come along to no avail:

2x The Lonely Mountain

2x The Battle of the Five Armies

2x Attack on Lake-town

2x Witch-King Battle

I also got the following two older sets, making them my third of each:

1x An Unexpected Gathering

1x Goblin King Battle

Lastly I BrickLinked a decent amount of orcs to round out my armies. I got:

8x Gundabad Orcs (new face paint from Bo5A set)

18x Orc Hunters (with new hair from Attack on Lake-town set)

20 bald Mordor Orcs

I missed out on the Hobbit/Lotr sets because I was in my dark ages. From all lego themes these are definitely my favorites so I decided to buy some of the sets because I will probably regret if I didnt buy them :classic:

So I recently got:

(30% off on the first four sets).

1x The Lonely Mountain

1x The Battle of the Five Armies

1x Attack on Lake-town

2x Witch-King Battle

1x Dol Guldur Battle

1x Dol Guldur Ambush

1x Attack of the Wargs

1x An Unexpected Gathering

2x Mirkwood Elf Army

1x Pirate Ship Ambush

1x Battle at the Black Gate

Still planning on getting all the LOTR sets I havent got yet and also a 2nd Battle at the Black Gate to make a full gate.

Well since it looks like the LotR line is officially done, since there are no interesting LotR Dimension sets coming out (by that I mean containing new parts), and since no other Lego themes currently interest me I decided to go on an army massing spree. I have gotten the following sets in the last few weeks:

1x Wizard Battle

1x Witch King Battle

1x The Lonely Mountain

As well as BrickLinked the crap out of the following

2x Cave Troll

2x Goblin King

2x Gray Wargs

20x White Forehead paint Gundabad Orcs

20x Regular Gundabad Orcs

60x Mordor Orcs

Finally got my first Castle set since I was erh maybe 10, the Kingdoms Joust, and it's pretty damn great. Also picked up a bunch more of the Red Lion Knight guys (dunno their official name) because that Gold Lion symbol is pretty much exactly the Dutch Lion which is pretty gosh darn awesome.

Ghostbusters

That is a historic theme acquisition? I'd be more tolerant if you were a long time member who was a regular in history. Please be more mindful of topic's purpose.

Finally picked up the Battle of Five Armies. I was on the fence about getting it at all but seeing it at Target for 30% off I figured it was now or never.

I'll be posting a picture of my first small Castle Army in the 'Post your Castle Armies here' thread or what that is called, the set will be in the background. I'm just still waiting for 2 more Minifigs to come in the mail.

(If you really want me to I could take some more pictures of it though.)

Haha, I love that sales pitch. "Look at all the exciting toys that this set can build"! A Wagon! A smaller wagon! A wagon with no wheels! And lastly... a pack for your horse. The possibilities are endless!

Anyhoo, nice find :classic:

It appears to me the 'wagon with no wheels' is like a plow to farm the land, given the position of the axe, which is kind of nice.

True, as back then this was a very common tool/Technique to harvest the Grounds. Even in today time, some are using the same Technique! :)

Aye, I know, it just looks similar to the wagon build but with an axe attached and the wheels removed.

Well, I can see it has been a while since I got my last Castle set, the 7189 Mill Village Raid, probably three years ago or so. Except for the wonderful 10223 Kingdoms Joust, newer sets have not really appealed to me. - Maybe next time... Or if I find a really good offer
