I don't like putting swords in the bags as they poke and fall off anyways. Swords are therefore counted out and put into separate bags for each army.

what why? why are they not attached to bodies?

That's a pic of my spare helmets (about 20,000 of them). I like to be prepared, so I have thousands of extra helmets, shields, armor, and swords in each I need to fit or refit an army.

Does that mean you do things with your vast minifigure collection? Because so far all I have seen is pictures of them bagged up in plastic containers. I would like to see some if not all of your castle armies all fitted out.

Makes sense. :classic:

So will we get to see some pictures of your armies? Sounds like they would be great to see.

Wow! I only used the Knights of either faction with either the tunic or the plain mail since I make my creations historically accurate, and this makes me VERY envious of you. I've only got about 20 or so of those. :(

Anyways, I haven't bought anything since my last post, but tomorrow I'm going to the LEGO store and plan on picking up some more Blacksmith Attacks (black chaperon! :) ) and maybe the new King's Carriage set for the Sword, Crown, and Ermine torso. Wish me luck!

I haven't posted pics of any faction yet, that would require 'Building', I'm in an 'Acquire' mode still

Also am in sort mode as well, that's more of a block to building than the additions are....

Nice me too. I have bought so many sets lately, that pieces are just lying unsorted on my desk. As soon as I sort some of them, I have already bought more sets hah. I think I am going to order nothing but more Prison Carriage Rescues and Escape from Dragon's Prisons for more troops and cavalry!

Heya guys, I dont often buy castle sets but I have just won the auction of 3053, 1186, 6083 and 6089 only for about £90 (all from the same dude!).

Im very happy about this as I have heard to huge prices some people have had to pay for sets from the Ninja theme.

I really cannot wait for these sets to arrive and I can add more Samurai to my already packed Battle, 合計虐殺 .

Thanks, CB

For the price of that set, they should have given you SIX!

Well, they gave me four and then a free Harry Potter magnet set, so it seems fair.

Oh, I have a bunch of recent sets to go thru and some that go back a decade or more. I've never done a good sort, I've been buying set, often but not always deboxing them and then storing most occasionally building a few and have them setup for a while then they too get stored, usually broken down.

I've also dabbled in many themes but a couple years back realized I needed to narrow my focus somewhat. That doesn't mean I only buy a single theme but my primary focus is pointed at Castle as well as stuff that can be useful for Castle. I have sets ranging from town to technic to trains (9volt) to space and beyond. This summer my main project will be to actually SORT and Organize a good chunk of my collection, if I don't it will be very difficult to build anything, that's one reason I haven't been building other than some acquisitions per official instructions.

What I do is just open the bag with the minfigiures and accessories and take those out, then leave the rest of the bags in a container with the rest of my unopened sets.

Also, impatiently waiting for the new Kingdoms sets to appear in Finland.

Still waiting.

Today I bought the Portal of Atlantis (€49,90 in discount, msrp in Finland was €119,90). Initially I wasn't that interested in Atlantis theme, probably because I was upset that it was an underwater theme with subs and wacky sea monsters instead of "real" Atlantis. But as the time has passed I've noticed that the theme does include an array of great cthulhian minifigures, and even some nice structures (hopefully I will also catch the City of Atlantis 7985 in discount someday). 8078 doesn't even include any vehicle for the divers, so it's a set that is more or less completely compatible with Fantasy-tainted Castle (excluding the three divers themselves of course). The three sea monsters are all great, especially the red squid warrior and the portal emperor (cthulhiest minifigure ever! (until Davy Jones is released later this year)). I'm planning to use the structure of the set, probably somewhat modified, as the base of an evil necromancer lich lord (Voldemort) summoning nightmarish horrors from an other dimension.

The sad thing is that I won't get to build the set itself until late August or September. Only fished out the minifigs now.

I purchased my first Lego set in about two years yesterday (I had a slight MB Halo obsession... :sceptic:), the Blacksmith Attack set from Kingdoms.

I must say I think as well as the set itself, the entire Kingdoms line is fantastic - in the first wave alone we're treated to two civilian sets, and even the classic forts and castles have a fresh, peaceful feel compared to the intense battles of the Fantasy-Era.

Very impressed, and I've quickly incorporated it into my latest MOC to mark my return to the Lego world, and also listed a few Kingdoms sets on my "Must-Have" list...
