fenris Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I'm really sorry and sad to hear that. Even though I didn't know him well... my thoughts are with his family and friends.
Calanon Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I never knew Zorro, but I know he was an important member of the EB community. I just have no words, it's such a sad thing for someone to die so young. Rest in peace Zorro, you'll be missed.
Holodoc Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I was one of the few who had the chance to meet this friendly member in real life at our event in Günzburg 2009. I'm really shocked to see that he left us forever. I sincerely hope he is at a better place now. People step into our lifes and accompany us for a while. Some stay forever because the leave traces in our heart. Thank you so much Dieter, we will never forget you!
Siegfried Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I was one of the few who had the chance to meet this friendly member in real life at our event in Günzburg 2009. That's such a great photo. I'll add it to the first post.
MetroiD Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I can't even begin to express how dumbfounded I am by this news... Dieter was one of the guys I was so much looking forward to meeting some day - not because we share a hobby, but because I've found him to be a great person who I would have loved to know better. Our Captain Lord Admiral will be sorely missed and I do not think that the Classic-Pirates community would ever be quite the same without him. My thoughts are with his family and relatives. Rest in peace Zorro, you'll always be remembered.
Aredhel Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I am very sad to hear of his unexpected death. I, too, met him at the Event in Günzburg 2009 and he was a very nice guy. It is tragic to die at this age. My thoughts are with his family. Rest in Peace. - Dana
Honeybee Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Its always very upsetting to hear about a loss especially when it was unexpected and for someone to be so young, my heart goes out to his friends and family at this difficult time. Zorro will be missed on these forums, he was always available for help and advise, he helped me out a few times at the beginning and for that i am grateful. I hope you rest in peace Dieter. x
snefroe Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 This is very sad news indeed! I didn't know Dieter very well, in fact, i only met him here, on EB, when we were exchanging posts... Still, it doesn't take you long to see he had a great impact on this communitity, though. He will not only be missed, but also remembered as a great guy and staff member. My condolences to the family and friends for their unexpected loss. Snefroe
Zapper Brick Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 This is very unexpected and very sad. I hope you have eternal LEGOs up there.

Ratshot Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Please Read This it Might Be a GOOD Idea Anyway could the Mods, Admins, Regulars put together a video with Memorys of Mr Zorro, I never knew him, but maybe a video of pics and Lego Pics, may be a good thing to do in memory of him. Were working on something at the moment, thanks for the idea!
Niku Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Besides I´m new i feel sad, could read much of his support here to EB, and for everything wrote and said by many others, seems was such a great person. Condolences to family. Rip Lord Admiral.
Klaus-Dieter Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 This is really sad news! I regrettably didn't know Zorro much since I only very seldom visit classic-pirates.com. Nevertheless he wrote some nice comments to some of my MOCs and layouts in the past. So this news is really sad. Klaus-Dieter
Errorist Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I only met with Dieter once in real life and found him to be a nice guy. I was shocked to hear of his death. My condoleances to his family. Dieter, may you rest in peace

The Mugbearer Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 It is always terrible to know that someone good has left us, even if you don't know his personally. Let us hope that he has left to a better world.
Lego12 Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 This is truly a sad event. I knew Dieter well, as he helped me when I needed it. I watched him go from a regular member, to someone more than extraordinary. We e-mailed and IMed each other constantly. I learned about his life in Europe, his job, how kind he was. I regrettably never met him in person, but I am going to miss him. I'm really going to miss you Zorro. May there be plentiful Lego where you are at.
