Derfel Cadarn Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Hi there This is the second part of my Countryside Collection mocs based around English villages. I decided on a Antique shop for this one as every English village has one(in fact mine has 15 of them). I was really hoping to have a thatched roof for this, but im still havn't perfected my thatch design im working on yet. Enjoy, and I hope to start working on the next one soon. DC Quote
buddy Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 (edited) Outstanding MOC! It look amazing and is highly detailed. Also the minifigs used fit in well. Extremely well done. ~buddy~ Edited January 22, 2011 by buddy Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 AWESOME....just simply AWESOME 'Derfel Cardarn' - I really like the stonework ! Excellent work again from you and keep on MOCing ! Quote
Cecilie Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 What can I say, you never seem to disappoint . I really like those slightly curved windows, and that door fits in really good. Awesome MOC again . The whole thing looks so real... Quote
wooootles Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 That's too good---it's not fair! The walls are just great! Quote
BasOne Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Will you stop making those absolutly amazing MOC's.. You make me feel quite insignificant.. Quote
AussieJimbo Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Another fantastic creation, DC. Very well done. :classic: Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Wow, another impressive creation Derfel! The overall design is top-quality as always, I love the tiled outside pavement and of course your signature wall design and classy-looking base. Awesome work and keep this wonderful MOCs coming! Brickdoctor Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 As with all your MOCs, the detailing and shaping of the building is stunning. That little stone wall and the rest of the walkway is really nice as well. Quote
Jipay Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Reminds me of midsummer murders ! Really nice MOC, I absolutely love the roof ! Too bad your MOCS are independant pieces, it'd have been nice to see them together. Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Great scene and building, although the brick work is a bit overdone for my taste. But I really like the design of the door and the slightly curved window. Quote
Gregorovich Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Yet another beautiful creation! The walls and the plants are stunning, and everything else is fantastic too. Well done! Quote
L@go Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Simply unbelievable. I know I said that the last one was fantastic, but if you keep up this work I'm going to run out of superlatives. The base/frame is great and suits the house well, and the stonework is of course fabulous, the chimneys in particular. That tree is awesome, and as has already been pointed out, that bay window with the subtle curve... all in all an astonishing piece of work. I'm officially a huge fan. Quote
gcanik Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Love the overall color scheme and how it fits into the base as well. Also love the slightly rounded front window. Very well done. Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted January 23, 2011 Author Posted January 23, 2011 Thank you all for your great comments, they are always most appreciated! I will hopefully build sone modular style houses soon, but only when I've worked out something that hasn't been done before. Thanks all Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Another lovely MOC you have created! Very nice design. Are the small round pieces and colors supposed to represent a cobble stone exterior. What ever it is I really like it, very elegant. Quote
Big Cam Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Beautiful, I really dig the flooring on this one. It's amazing becasue all of your creations/houses look similar but not too similar, Kind of like just similar enough that I instantly know it's you. Awesome work, I would love to see everything you've ever done all next to each other. Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 This is the second part of my Countryside Collection mocs based around English villages. I decided on a Antique shop for this one as every English village has one(in fact mine has 15 of them). Yeah antiques seem very popular in Englang. When I switch to BBC1 or 2 on the tv, most of the time there's some kind of antiques show on it Your MOC is excellent again. I like the round wall with all the windows in it and the green-white pattern just above it. The brown sides of this MOC ('below ground level') also make this look very professional. Good job Quote
The Player Nº1 Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 WOW. Those walls. :cry_happy: It's a perfect MOC. Regards Quote
