Pally Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 (edited) Any news regarding hotel and/or costs available? What's a good indication regarding costs? Cheers Edited March 15, 2011 by Pally
KimT Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Sorry, but the only date we could get everything to add up for our daughter's baptism is on the 4th of June. I'm out This is the first Event I've ever missed

Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 27, 2011 Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 27, 2011 hey guys... is there still some room left? I'm sure there is! Glad you are coming
Holodoc Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Hey Sne! Do have plans how to get there? If I go by car I could pick you up. Otherwise I just found out that there is a good (and cheap) way to fly. The problem: I would arrive in Gatwick (wednesday evening) and depart in Stanstead (sunday evening). Would somebody be so kind to pick me up? ...just checking all the possibilities...
Sir Norman Ray Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Well, providing I can get my car tooled out to have a sat nav system (bloody Fiat. Yeah, because there's no reason to have a cigerette lighter socket in a car anymore...) I could do that. Only problem is, it may be a little cramped. I drive a 2009 Fiat Panda, so not a lot of space for luggage and the like. -Sir Norman "Get on the roof and hold on tight!" Ray.
snefroe Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 hey doctor! no idea how to get there, just yet! so if you go by car, i'd love to come with you. thanks for the offer! cheers sne Hey Sne! Holodoc Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I was wondering about the rooms. Sir Norman Ray: Did you ask for the single room? Otherwise you could share your room either with Etzel or Snefroe. That would save both of them a nice amount of money. By the way: Did Legostein want a single room? @ Sne: I'm still trying to find out the best way to get to Windsor. Plane/train/car isn't decided yet and dependent on the costs (trying to save € to spend on bricks...) I never would have guessesd it would be so difficult to calculate the train's ticket.

I did ask for a single room, because to be honest, I'm very used to doing things on my own. I'm also going to admit, I'm a little anti-social and as such have problems sharing things like bedrooms. But if push comes to shove, if they need it, I'll get a double room. I'll just have to bitem the bullet and pick up a large bottle of Jamesons Whisky. -Sir Norman "Nervous man" Ray.
Holodoc Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 I wondered if there will be any program besides Bonaparte's mulimedia show? Do we have time to arrange extra's or other goodies like name badges or something like that? What about contests? Any bricks we should bring to the event? We used to plan a lot more the recent years, what's up this year? And yeah - prepare to be counted down soon!
Quarryman Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Do we have time to arrange extra's or other goodies like name badges or something like that? Well, if Matija is willing to make name badges again I can surely bring them to the Event. (personally I'd love to get name badge bricks for EB Event 2011 at least, don't need new ones with name/username, those I already have).

Holodoc Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 (personally I'd love to get name badge bricks for EB Event 2011 at least, don't need new ones with name/username, those I already have). Exactly my thoughts! And to be honest: I (but that may be just me!) prefer a one-liner, meaning just one 1x8 brick instead of the two we had the last years.
Sir Norman Ray Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I wouldn't mind a name badge. I'm a busy man, and it's very easy for me to forget my name. Plus, they can go with BrickCon and minifig4life collection! -Sir Norman "And then confuse the Americans in October!" Ray.
Holodoc Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 IF matija would take care of the engraving, what color are we going to use? Here's the list of available colors at Bricklink. I suggest dark red or Maersk blue or trans clear.

I suggest dark red or Maersk blue or trans clear. Maersk blue would be awesome, not sure how well engraving works on trans-clear, but that could be cool too. Not too keen on dark red as that's the colour of the "Eurobricks BW 2010" brick from last year's Brickworld (also think old brown could be cool, but that's not available at the moment it seems)
Aredhel Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I would take a badge addition too ;-) *searching for the last ones*
Holodoc Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Now let's wait for Matija's reply (Quarry - please take over) and then have it ordered (Who? Somebody close to Matija??? ) from Bricklink. Yeah - Maersk Blue!
Miss Kyle Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 If I get time off work, we'll be there for at least a day at the weekend, too! It would be awesome to see people from the Westfields meetup in February again. Fingers crossed!
Dazmundo Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I am aiming to be there for a day or two, not sure which yet. D
Peppermint_M Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Name Badge? I could put in for a badge with my name on please?

D Friday evening (around 19h) is our special Eurobricks presentation (by Copmike, myself and special guests) and discussion. That's something I can recommend
pedro Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) Hey, I'm still planning on attending the event. I'm having to cut down how long I'll be attending as a close personal friend is leaving the country that weekend but I'll be down either Thursday or Friday, possibly both. I've been figuring out who from my family would be coming as we weren't sure if we'd have extra family down... but no-one else will be coming afterall. Whichever day I decide to head down, I'll be driving from Brimingham/Midlands area and spending the full day with you all, right 'til the end! Edited May 9, 2011 by pedro
