We know that Lego listens to us so why not give them PoTC set ideas. Flying Dutchmen, Port Royal Pirate attack, and Tortuga Tavern, now for lame ideas, Calypsos Release(sorry for the mispelling),Sao Fengs bath house and Jacks crew of Jacks, now your ideas.

Somehow I don't think LEGO will look at this as they may already have their ideas, however I would love to see a UCS Flying Dutchman and The hangmans noose at the end of the first movie (when Jack is about to be hung), that would certainly be interesting for parts, yet possibly controversial for a few parents.

I'd love to see a high-quality version of the Governor's house from the first movie. It would go so nicely with sets like Diagon Alley and MMV. Very much doubt that TLG have any plans to make it, though.

My second dream set would be Tia Dalma's shack mixed with some of the river exterior. An awesome, spooky set with potential for really cool accessories in the shack. Tia Dalma is probably my second favorite POTC character, and this set would HAVE to have a monkey in it. I don't have a monkey yet, much less an undead monkey!

Not to argue too much, but I think Sao Feng's bathhouse would actually be a pretty cool set. We don't have much Chinese-styled architecture in the Legoverse, and this would be an opportunity to get pieces that don't show up much. Playability would be pretty high if they did it right, as you've got swords being launched through the floor, exploding walls and other action features. Not to mention a Chow Yun Fat minifig, which would rank right up there with Indiana Jones and the Squid Warrior in coolness.

I think it goes without saying that people want another ship like Imperial Flagship. Maybe even a UCSer version.

A UCS version is probably something that will remain exclusive for Star Wars fans. :pir-sceptic:

I am still very much looking forward to the sets, there will be certainly some interesting parts for MOCing in there. I hope to see more pearl gold, the globe will do fine for a captains cabin and the minifigs will be a very welcome variation too!

If this line is going to be successful, maybe they'll make sets for the first three movied too (Black Pearl etc.)

To be honest, I consider IF to be a UCS model, when compared against the smaller ships like BSB**. I just meant something using more of the AFOL curved hull techniques and maybe another 1000 pieces. Emerald Night to Hogwarts Express if you will.

Purely my opinion, and not meant to spark a "What makes UCS a UCS" debate.

Hi all,

We are all awaiting the sets of the PotC collection, as I see on this forum :pir-sweet:

So I thought, lets make a post so everyone can refect their ideas on future sets for our friends at TLG.

Davy Jones organ room

Figs: Davy Jones (with the octopus armed face, would be so cool), Will Turner, Bootstrap Bill

Jones used the organ room as a place where he can sleep, William Turner steals the key to the Dead Man's Chest from him. Bootstrap helps Will escape.

or integrate this into:

The Flying Dutchman

Figs: Davy Jones, Bootstrap Bill, Maccus, Koleniko, Palifico

The Flying Dutchman was an infamous supernatural galleon. The Dutchman was first given to Davy Jones by his love, the sea goddess Calypso, who granted Jones captaincy with the duty of ferrying the souls who die at sea into the next world for ten years.

Edinburgh Trader

Figs: Will Turner, Elisabeth Swann, Captain Bellamy, Crewman (or 2)

The Edinburgh Trader was small merchant vessel owned and operated by Captain Bellamy and his crew. After Will escaped from Davy Jones, Davy Jones summoned the Kraken to attack the vessel.

VooDoo Shack

Figs: Jack Sparrow, Tia Dalma

This shack was located on the Pantano River. The mystic Tia Dalma made her home here at some point prior to Jack Sparrow's adventures.

Port Royal

Figs: James Norrington, Mullroy, Murtogg, Elisabeth Swann, Jack Sparrow, Governer Swann (plus 1 or 2 royal navy figs)

Port Royal was a major city and harbor in the Caribbean, situated on the western end of Palisadoes in Jamaica. It was founded by the English, and the British Royal Navy maintained a presence at the governmental Fort Charles.

(with prison, gallow, fortified wall and Jolly Mon)

So far my first ideas... looking forward to your ideas

Land ho'

I would love to see a flying dutchman, Pirates of the caribbean movies have such a large background of "cool' moments that can easily be turned into lego sets, the sword fight at the start of the first movie, a new "krakken attacking" (haha!)

In addition to those ideas, I'd like to see some sets from the third film, since there aren't any coming out yet. Maybe the Hai Peng (the junk used to get to Davy Jones' Locker) and something from the Brethren Court. There are too many cool pirates there (READ: KEITH RICHARDS) to not have minifigs of them. I can see TLG putting out a "Blacksmith Duel" set from the first film.

I personally would like to see any sets with lord cutler beckett and mr mersol... they are my favorite characters fro potc 2&3... I would love to have them make the hms endevoar but that's a long shot.. so maybe cutler becketts office from dead mans chest or another captains cabin from at worlds end when him and jack make there deal...

The Inteceptor for sure! I would buy them 15 in my fleet, i like smaller ships more than those big ones, But i would love to also see Dauntless or Endeavour. (If the desing and the price would be good).

I was thinking about this today. TLG seems to shy away from associating their factions with real countries, so maybe the Endeavour is more likely, since they could have it flying an EITC flag rather than the British flag. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to fit.

Could you please resize that picture please to 800 x 600? Right now it's a little too big.

Although a version of the Black Pearl is being released in November, I would really like to see a UCS version of this ship. Unlike the Dutchman, the Black Pearl isn't so large as to be impossible to capture adequately as a UCS model. I feel that even an overly expensive version of the Dutchman would fail to do the original movie model any real justice. It would simply be too small, whereas a UCS version of the Pearl would look perfect.

I agree, if this theme sells well and they will make more sets. Then lego has to make a UCS black pearl, eventually

I’m kind of surprised no one suggested Sparrow and Barbosa’s epic, undead duel in the treasure room, or simply HMS Dauntless/Interceptor for good sets. Just think of all that treasure. I frankly think the second and third movies were tragic mistakes, and any sets made from them would be terrible, but to each his own. It seems the most popular sets are always those with the most/best mini figures. Perhaps, just make a set of all the characters. Even as a limited edition, that would do remarkable well. What it all really comes down to is cost effectiveness though. Legos are kind of expensive to make and often times the sets suffer in quality and scope to make them affordable and/or profitable. So long as TLG avoids including corner cutting, pre-fabricated parts (something like a large one piece water wheel for the three way duel over Jones’ heart), or cheap Chinese plastic, the theme should do well.

Well, in scene where the Jack and Turner had already got a crew, and sailed in the storm i didnt see any british flag or any flag in there. So they can just give us the ship whit out any flag :pir-classic: I hope TLG will listen us and will give us these ships....
