Teazza Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Hi everybody, I'd like to share with all my last little MOC. They're two different model of Universal Testing Machines, heavy used in all material testing laboratory. Here machines are equipped for tensile and compression test. If someone wants to build up a big laboratory or industry layout, these can be nice to insert in! Bye Teazza Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Being a mechanical engineer, boy am I familiar with these---and you captured their look. Nice job! Same here, I'm quite familiar with these UTMs as I've done a few material tests before using these, and I must say you really did a very well brickbuilt representation of these machines Teazza! The details are really very accurate. Quote

dr_spock Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Great idea for a MOC. They look like the real ones I used to use in engineering class. Quote
Davey Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Great idea for a MOC! We use these all the time to test our plastic materials at work. As a Composite Materials Engineer...UTM's are near and dear to my heart. Working with those helped pay my way through university. I really like these and might have to borrow your idea to build a couple for my desk at work. Great job! -Davey Quote
